Bad News for Giraffes: Endangered Species Declared Kosher!!!!!!!!!!
Colonel, do you have any good recipes and matching wine pairing suggestions?
I can't wait to find out how many people stuffed giraffe kishka can feed!?
;)

Eric, is there any chance you'll serve Giraffe instead of salmon at your BBQ during Seattle meet?

I'd prefer giraffe to salmon, but that's only because I can't eat salmon.  I'll bet the neck is the best part.

Guys, it's in your hands now,
let's spam Eric with Giraffe requests!
;)

Yeah, neck should be the "main attraction"!

What exactly is it about the giraffe that makes it kosher?  Are zebra kosher?

What about ostrich?  Good as a lean alternative to beef--less fat and cholesterol than skinless chicken--and good with a cab.

Do they have strokes?  Will have to ask fingers' wife who is a vet.

Not only that, she's a vet from South Africa.  Strokes are not known in giraffe's, but it's probably not something with a lot of clinical evidence.  Having said that, she also has not eaten any nor has any recipes. She's also a tribe member but will probably not be ordering up any on our next visit to Canter's.

I'm surprised the Rabbi was willing to stick his neck out like this...seems a bit of a stretch...almost a tall tale...maybe now he stands above his peers...you know, head and shoulders above the rest...

I could go on, but probably shouldn't.

Can't help you Serge, I'm afraid we eat almost everything else: sheeps eyes, goats, camels .............. now there's a thought:
a recipe that should be right up you're street -
http://mideastfood.about.com/od/middleeasternfood101/f/stuffedcamel.htm
might even be able to modify it for Giraffe?

And before anyone thinks we eat weird stuff, how about some silk worm grubs - have actually eaten them -
but not the maggot cheese
http://stuffucanuse.com/strange_food.htm

Let's try some regular food, who's for a Big Mac?

have split hooves and chew their cud.  Zebra I think not, their hooves are single like horse.

Ostrich and emu would be kosher as are almost all birds save a few (carrion eaters, probably) excepted.  All of course have to be properly slaughtered and dressed.

No it doesn't.  I didn't see any giraffes quoted in that article (unless the rabbi is a giraffe).  Humans knew it was kosher, but maybe the giraffes didn't

Despite their traditional focus on red wines ...

... Giraffes have recently embraced Whites...

... and in some cases even Rosés... .

They are known to be particular in their choice of stemware...

... and accessories...

OK, OK... I'll stop.

Maestro, why stop here?
Let's go further!

after good drink,

giraffes lose their focus

and make crucial mistakes.
