There has been a fair amount of confusion regarding wines whose label reads "Paringa." Please read the following carefully to ensure that your wine is categorized correctly and help us avoid duplications. There are two wineries who have the "Paringa" in their names : Paringa is a popular producer of South Australia varietal-based wines. Their most popular wines are a Cabernet Sauvignon, a Shiraz and a Merlot. The labels have a mention of "Individual Vineyard," but they make only one of each wine and they don't use that term in their material, so we have dropped it. They also make a white blend and a sparkling Shiraz. All these wines have South Australia GI as Paringa's (it is actually a brand name of the one of famous wine-growing Hickinbotham family) vineyards are scattered throughout the region. Paringa Estate is a Mornington Peninsula-based (Port Phillip, Victoria) producer who produces Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Gris and Shiraz in three lines - Estate, Peninsula and Reserve. There is no association between the two wineries. Here are links to the respective winery's homepages : Paringa Estate Paringa Please double-check and confirm your holdings before entering or creating your wine. All the Cellartracker links above give the list of wines of the producers and there are images for all the wines to assist you. Thanks, A.
