How do you keep visiting the CT Forum. If I had to go two weeks I would try to block out wine completly!

Can you drink regular grape juice in a wine glass?? It's close.

Maestro, I thought Italy prohibits medications which interfere with wine?
;)

My condolences, man!

Wow - 2 weeks!  I would have to stay away from CT and the TN if I couldn't drink wine - too tempting,

Sorry I dont seem to understand what you are saying.  Two.  Weeks.  No.  Wine.  I understand the words on their own, but when you put them together they dont make any sense.  I dont think my brain understands this pattern of words.

I was horribly ill with a nasty case of bronchitis that started acting up on the evening of this dinner: http://www.cellartracker.com/event.asp?iEvent=5394

Imagine my horror. I rushed off early from work, saw my GP, got medication (including antibiotics) and asked nervously whether I could still drink and explained my situation. She said... "what's a wine dinner?". After I explained, she started laughing out loud and told me that there was no problem, as long as I felt up to it and could still taste the wine. Is she a quack?

I haven't found any medical condition that prevents you from buying wine.

So you'll have plenty more to drink later...

PaulS - I was once told by a doctor I could drink while taking antibiotics, the issue was throwing up!  This has been confirmed at least once since.  As long as they stay in your system then they would appear to work.

Fortunately both my drinking and drug habits have changed since!

Maestro, I really understand you.
I  had lost my sense of smell for 2 MONTHS from beginning of June till end of July due to wrong therapy (absolutely wrong self healing with Xylomethazoline).
I couldn't distinguish even coffee or vinegar from wine.
Luckily, I am cured now (one week of mountain climbing - mountain air makes miracles!)
