For those of you who occasionally spend quality time away from your own navels...
i thought this thread might be of interest.

Paul Newman's Own Wine

Papio Wines

Banrock Station winery
proceeds go to fund environmental projects wherever their wine is sold.

Humanitas also makes a very good chardonnay - at least they did a couple of years ago.

We need to get them to include a donation option for CellarTracker.

Speaking of which...
makes me wonder if there is an online wine shop that offers kickbacks for referral sales.
For those of us who make online purchases... if we had an option to purchase the same label
through a source that would give CT a percentage of the sale...
then the logical and most conscientious choice is obvious.

What you guys think?

.....oh puuuhlleeze!

Buying wine for charity sake is worse than jerking off without lube:
good intention, bad execution.

to a degree... i agree... serge
but for a moment, entertain the following options,
that if for some reason falls short of helping a specific cause...
would at the least help CT with funding events/mixers or whatever else Eric sees fit:

and give $5 for each bottle to animal rescue efforts.

The WineWeb e-Marketplace for wine sells online gift certificates
which can be redeemed for wine at any participating winery or wine merchant
that uses WineWeb's ecommerce system.offers affiliate commissions for sales
of their online gift certificates.
Affiliates earn 5% commission on sales.

...and i could go on and on
Eric... let me know if you'd like me to continue my research in this matter.
I think this would be a great additional way/option for the membership to make a contribution.

Shouldn't this be wines with a Conscience? I stopped drinking wines produced for the conscious a long time ago...

lol... yes i suppose you're right...
this is more about having a heart then being sober...
maybe i should write more of my posts after coffee vs wine.

Lesson of the day:
One must be fully conscious to clearly express their conscience.

Amazon's referral commission program comes to mind, where people can create links to specific books on their own website and if it the book is purchased via this link then Amazon credits the referring website owner with a percentage of the sale. I see by an older thread that they are currently working on the idea of selling wine too. http://www.cellartracker.com/forum/Amazon_to_sell_wine%3F/m_18960/tm.htm  I could see a similar setup here working very nicely. For example, have a referral account activated link available on each CellarTraker wine's profile page pointing to the wine's Amazon purchase profile page.
