Sounds like loads of fun, but I am not going to be able to make it.  And just after my 4 year anniversary of using CT.

Oh well, I will be thinking about you guys while I kick back and relax in Roma.

I'm on for 25th April 2009 in NYC (great to get to).
Why not fix an add on visit to Wine Library and we can Taste/Buy some wine (I'm sure Eric's worth a big discount) and meet the second great entrepreneur of the US wine scene (after our Eric of course).
L.

Never been to the Big Apple.  I'd go in '09 just to meet the Colonel!

Is there still room?
Could I visit Chez Levine again, this time with significant other in tow? (and as a real CT user to boot)?

Would love to contribute in any way I can, of course.

Absolutely!  We haven't yet gotten to the point where we have exact costs for you and a way to sign up for the event but it is coming...soon!

Great!
I look forward to hearing details closer to the date. It will be fun to meet other CT users in person.

Hello Eric -  I also will likely be attending both, if possible.  And since I live in Seattle, I am also willing to volunteer to help you with anything you may need help with.

Thanks for doing this!

When I saw this email re wine week end I had to sign up to use the forum.  Although a deciated tracker, hadn't even realized the "power" behind the forum. Count me and my husband in for any and all events no matter the registration fee.
Are the dates set in stone? If so I'll book on SW today!

I've got the opposite problem... Booked already on the 6th but open on the 5th...

Even though I can't participate on the 6th, I'm happy to contribute to the cost of the event to help keep the overall costs for everyone down... Totally worth it in hopefully making this an annual event.

Craig/Eric - Assume at some point we'll have an official sign-up for both days...

Thanks!  Ron

Sorry about the 6th...The official sign-up will likely through Paypal to pay for the event, but we are trying to get some pretty solid numbers to see if we can stay in the same venue and better estimate the cost of the event per person.

"THE MAIN EVENT: Saturday, September 6th: This will be a BYO event likely at the UPTOWN HIDEAWAY and catered by Tom Douglas. We will ultimately sell tickets for this event to cover both venue and catering costs. Current estimate is $80/person pending the likely number of attendees"

As a Senior Tracker, I would expect the 10% senior discount

What about AAA?

Just kidding.  As long as there's room for us that have been here since the idea was hatched.  This will be the only getaway me and the missus take this year since we've just opened a new vet clinic.  Actually shutting down for the 2 days to go CellarPalooza.

I can't imagine what a BYO with 200 people could possibly be like.  There might be bottles there that everyone wants a taste of but that would just not be possible to do.   Should be fun.

Did you ever play "murderball" when you were a kid--you know when 1 person has the ball and everyone else on the playground tries to tackle him?  I'm gonna bring an '82 Lafite just to see what happens...

I think that it would be nice if the original posters here were seated at 1 or 2 tables since we already have a history together.  Non-forum and future-forum members can be seated on a first come, first served basis since they don't know each other anyway.

Just a thought.

Another idea is to find out what everyone will bring ahead of time, and then have a random drawing to determine which wines go to which tables.

I prefer the first idea, especially since I'd be in that group but this might be a viable alternative.

Bruce

Eric,
Count me in for both days if there's room.  It's an easy drive from Bellingham, and as mentioned above, I'm due for a Garagiste pickup.  I'll try to convince my wife to come and arrange a babysitter.
