I think you guys sorted this out yourselves.  In other words, write some notes on memorable wines, but don't let it get in the way of having a good time.

Bring a card with the info on the wine and the person who donated it and we can compile a list afterwards.

I'll start a new thread for those who want to tell us their wine ahead of time, and I'll keep an ongoing list.  It may help to categorize wines at different tables so a more orderly progression may ensue if desired.  I just do not want people to feel obligated to announce their wine ahead of time--some may be making a last minute decision, and that's ok.

Keep the suggestions, ideas coming!

If it were, it would be a lot closer to me.  But then I would have wasted an airline ticket.  Try flyng to OKC sometime.  Oops!  I probably  pissed off Seanr7.  That is a dangerous thing to do.  He has far more practice than I.  He has been doing it since 1971.

Craig,
I'm definitely coming up from Portland with a friend.  Is there anything we can help out with in advance of the event. Log the wines people are bringing, create tasting note cards, or something?
Let me know.

Thom,
I have you down for 2.  Thanks for the offer for help.  Will likely need some help with logging wines as they come in--possibly volunteers to help pour at the various tables.  I'm going to try to make some sort of organizational scheme with our space as the time draws nearer.

Wow Serge..  That picture shows how incredibly stupid we are as a race in general.  Sometimes I think we are lower on the food chain then the common ground squirrel.  You don't see them daring each other to run out in front of cars.

Of course, morbid curiosity dictates that I see the outcome.

Here's the next group to compete.  My money's on Serge  - he has too much experience with hot, wet bodies in confined spaces

Good question.  Any volunteers?  I'm no photographer.

That's fine. Any pics will do. I can't be there but I'd like to see the pics and put some faces with these names.

Unfortunately, J2K, the event is a masquerade ball, so you'll just have to be there to see who's under those masks.

Thanks, Rob, any attempts to document this event are most appreciated (especially to document some "lapses" in memory that may occur).

We could take the wedding reception route and put out a bunch of single-use flash cameras and just tell everyone to take some pics and then leave them at the end for Eric.  Or posteriety.  Or blackmail.  Or evidence

So Craig, did you line up any of these for the party at Eric's house?  Looks like some might be available for a while and I am sure Eric's wife would appreciate less wear and tear on the house.

We could always go outside, but then Eric may wonder why all his shrubs are dying

A few nice wines there but do they really pair well with in and out burgers and salty french fries?

Just got back from some offline time in Montreal with some friends from the WS board.  Thought I might see some new info here but alas, no.  What's up?  How is the head count going for Friday and Saturday?  Any info on cost or payment mechanism?

Stevetimko, saw your post in another thread re: Rhone but didn't know if it was related to the CT weekend or not.  Can you direct me to the thread for info?
