Fingers, he didn't. Colonel just followed:
One occupation per member unwritten rule.

He chose "stock trader" and not:
porn-trafficker (was my favorite occupation in life)
"murder for hire, inc" member ( didn't like it, too messy, you should have seen the spot the bus leaves after hitting the target at 65 miles per hour speed)
"mushroom picker" (not haluciogenics, sorry for disapointment)
and few others I won't mention due to my modesty I was born with.

Right.  But "hitman" and "stock-trader" are the same occupation and only counts as one.

Yep, I'm making toys in HK.

Did offer a HK event to coincide with the Seattle event but no takers so I'll now be in Japan (buying toys!). Would be happy to organise something, think WKChoy is a Hong Konger from memory, apologies if not Choy sing sang.

In anticipation of the First Annual CellarTracker weekend, I thought it might be fun if we got to see what folks do for a "day job", since there are probably few of us who can afford our "wine habits" on a wine-industry paycheck...

Could be just me that's interested but thought I'd throw the thread out there anyway!

For myself, I've been in the technology sector for the past 20 years, specifically in finance at HP (well, to be fair, I started at Digital Equipment, which was acquired by Compaq, which was acquired by HP).  It's been a pretty good gig in that it allows me to dabble in several hobbies, not the least of which is my wine habit...

Anyone else care to share?

Ron

Ron,

At the encouragement of my spouse I retired six years ago. I was a negotiator for a large labor union in Washington state.  Now we travel quite a bit and have visited most of the West Coast wine country. We are also contemplating a move to Sonoma County to escape the dreary weather of  western Washington.

Interventional Cardiologist ... don't like the wine, I just drink it for the medicinal value

Pavie Princess, the days of big pharma left cardiology long ago (AdvaMed guidelines to keep us "honest"); my stent reps/drug reps pick up some steaks and come over to my house, where I cook for them and we drink my wine. Rossodio, don't be too discouraged; my fellows and housestaff are always invited to the parties.

I hope you invite the company that I have some of my cash tied up in.
No prizes for guessing which one.
