ORIGINAL: Maestro Alright, here's the situation: As I am the host and have access to all the wines I suggested, it looks like I should open 4 bottles instead of 3, so most people have a chance to taste at least two (hopefully three) wines. It looks then like I would be opening these: 3 2003 Casa Lapostolle Clos Apalta http://www.cellartracker.com/wine.asp?iWine=191006 4 2003 Casanova di Neri Brunello di Montalcino http://www.cellartracker.com/wine.asp?iWine=441024 18 2005 Domaine Drouhin Oregon Pinot Noir http://www.cellartracker.com/wine.asp?iWine=373992 24 2006 Produttori del Barbaresco Langhe Nebbiolo http://www.cellartracker.com/wine.asp?iWine=508458 And then: -- Blue Shorts, Serge, cgrimes, and GalvezGuy should be able to taste 3 wines. -- J2K, apes, mbannon, Wrighty, RoundersRob, and Fingers should be able to taste 2 wines. -- Duck83, rjonas, PaulS, jhannah27, and the Colonel should be able to taste 1 wine. (Although I believe Wrighty and the Colonel should be able to find all 4 wines in London, really.) The question is whether one can get more wines if we cast these 4 choices in stone right now. Should we do that? Wait, did I miss something? Why am I only tasting 1 wine? I can pretty easily get the all four wines. Rob, they have the 05 Drouhin for $39 at the Wine Stop in Burlingame. www.thewinestop.com I can pick one up for you if you want.
