If we're considering South African wines, we should also consider New Jersey wines. There's nothing quite like a Bayonne Beaujolais. I have a few bottles of the 01 left and agree. If you haven't had a S. African you like try the Meerlust.

Hah! The challenge is to find a South African wine that Rob will enjoy! [image]http://www.cellartracker.com/forum/image/s1.gif[/image] Unfortunately, I'm not up to the challenge, since I don't know anything about South African wines. [image]http://www.cellartracker.com/forum/image/s5.gif[/image]



If I were to suggest a South African wine that should be enjoyable it would be this.  I think that is consistenly outstanding and readily available in most places.

Just got home so a little late to comment. 

Can second the Meerlust, especially the 01.  Am also a little worried that I have a repuatation in the Jaines' household now, will have to watch my step!

Thanks Maestro, it was a great event which seems likely to become a regular event.
