Rak, considering this Monumental Event happened yesterday, the wines were:
St. Innocent at the winery- check the thread, yikes!
Proseco for dinner was so-so, I didn't even bother to write the name and the Hungarian Dry Furmint 2004 was just pathetic.

I swear, I'll celebrate 10,000th post next year in more style.

I might have a good reason to celebrate tomorrow,
Citibank and Merril Lynch announced today they will do what I want UBS to do.
THAN we'll drink!

HSBC quietly did the same about one month ago.  No hoopla - but made all their auction rate security customers (including me) whole. 

Just more assets to buy wine with........

yes, HSBC made this announcement few months ago. One of my classmates work as Financial Analyst in NY, she was happy for her clients.

With Citi and Merril falling today, I expect UBS to fall any day now. They know they can't win in court and they can't afford to leave USA market either.

Buy wine....I am thinking more about buying the vineyard (preferrably NOT in the sky) when I reunite with my dough! Can't be worse than SLARS.
