Good morning Colonel. Look forward to that picture of Dubai. Wish I could help you but I'm technologically challenged.

Hi,
It was thanks to GintsO that I got that far.
Now how do I make the last step = tagging the picture I guess?

Very nice picture!

Looking forward to the visit, invitation still stands of course. Looks like we might get about 4-6 for our little get together next week so that should be fun.

OK, now you just need to click on the little "Add image" icon which is the yellow on on the far right when you write your post:'

Except it looks like your photo is no longer there...

Colonel, you used wrong link. The correct one (Direct link) is:
http://i396.photobucket.com/albums/pp50/cdbenc/P9250102.jpg

In photobucket, below your first photo, choose "Link options". Select "Show links in my albums --> ALWAYS". It will help you to copy the direct link much easier!

Good morning all.

Wrighty was over at my house last night and thankfully there is no hangover this morning.  Poor old Wrighty had to schlep all the way down to dark and dingy South East London and all he got as a reward was my 2 kids screaming and shouting for most of the evening.

Paul,

Look at the bright side. You still had your jacket and wallet this morning I assume?

Awesome Colonel, let me know when that starts to come into focus on your calendar. I'm traveling out there probably 1 or 2 weeks per month for the next 6-8 months, I am usually somewhat flexible which week I go with enough notice.

There are far too many people on this board who don't own snow shovels...
I guess that is the price you pay for living somewhere green and closer to the vineyards, though where I live shoveling snow usually means the neighbor with the Backhoe comes and rescues me.

Awesome pics CL, have always wanted to see certain parts of that area, Dubai included.

I had to grow up with snow shovels and learned to drive in my mom's big station wagon on snow covered icy road, not to mention driving out on a frozen lake to go ice fishing.   I've had enough of that, which is why I now live in California.

What he said, only substitute Florida for California.

Where'd everyone go?  This board was hoping last week, and now...nothing.  This is making my little "mental breaks" from work much more difficult.

Well, here we are guys.  Rob, Jeremy, and me -  the Cali contingent.

Funny, it seems there's hardly anyone from Pacific Norwest ever in here, given the amount of users in CT's hometown.

I'll give you my wife's email and you can tell her that, as she is convinced I'm on it constantly. Usually check in several times daily.

I always say that in life you have to take responsibility for your own actions.

You didn't make me drink all that wine - I seem to remember I did it of my own free will.

You'll note I still haven't master the process though.
What about instruction again, but as if it's for a total imbecile.
(I can get it onto photobucket .............................)

CL,

Figured as one of the resident computer geeks I'd try to see how to use Photobucket to post pics as well. Not sure if this will help, but this is what I just did...

1) signed up for a Photobucket account, since I haven't been able to see your pics and figured it might be due to not having an account.
2) posted a pic there to play around with
3) Clicked the Share hyperlink above my photo in Photobucket. You will then see several share options on the left of the photo, clicked the second one down "Email"
4) Went to the bottom of the window where it says "Or just copy the link" and did a Copy of what was typed there
5) Flipped back into CT and clicked the "Link" button at the top of the post window, inserted the copied Link and got this result

In Honor of Turkey Day

Which I'm gathering is everything you have done as well. So that brings me to the big question, the one I think you have, which is how do you use the "Image" button on the top of the post Window. I can't get it to link to that page, below is what I have tried in every possible combination...

[image]http://i376.photobucket.com/albums/oo201/Hollowine/IMG_0265.jpg
[/image]

Anyone out there with any clues? Is this a limitation of using a photo service like Photobucket?

Thanks J2K!

So this raises a big Question...I had to go to windows to make this work, prior attemts were using Safari Browser on a Mac.  CL, what are you using?

Please don't tell me there is something that works better on Internet Explorer than Mac, it will ruin my holidays...

BTW, pic below are gnarly old Shiraz vines taken last Spring after 11 days above 100 F at Turkey Flat vineyards in the Barossa...It was a shame to see how much of that vintage got cooked on the vines...
