PASSWORD REMINDERS
On the eve of taking off to Europe for two weeks, I finally implemented a mailback feature so that you can get request a reminder of your username and password in an automated way. This is done in the pretty standard web-way where you supply an email address, and, if the email address is associated with an account, then the account info is emailed.

I want to be able to stop getting an announcement everytime someone posts a new thread. I'd like to look at threads once a week. The volume (and quality) of messages is becoming annoying. Still appreciate the organization tool, however.

Ok, it's simple enough.
  1. Log into the forum
  2. Click the MY PROFILE at the upper right: http://www.cellartracker.com/forum/editprofile.asp
  3. At the top center is a MY SUBSCRIPTIONS link: http://www.cellartracker.com/forum/subscribe.asp
  4. Check or uncheck forums/threads to which you would like to (un)subscribe and press OK.
It should be noted that I have actually completely wiped all subscriptions in the past. Then people go ahead, (re)subscribe, complain when they get subscription reminders, and can't figure out how to unsubscribe.

If you scroll down there are several preference choices that impact the subscriptions (e.g. one to auto-subscribe you to a thread if you post in it, one that only reminds you once per thread until you visit the thread again etc.)
