A couple of subtle changes:

BETTER REPORTING
The Region summary report now drills down to a secondary summary report which groups by SubRegion and Appellation. This is a pretty powerful view. From there drilldowns go to the main wine list. For example, here is what it looks like for Burgundy.

FIT AND FINISH
On the wine drilldown page I changed the display of personal tasting notes. Now your own notes are shown first and are then followed by notes from the rest of the community. The list used to be purely chronological. I also put the score, tasting date and name inline with the tasting note to save screen real estate.

I'll say it is! Major cool! Thanks for a great enhancement, Eric.

... except now if you WANT a list of all your Burgundy wines, you have to get it from the Advanced Search page. I wonder if there is a way to construct something that would allow a list or a drill-down at each level?

Whoops. I can surface both kinds of links from the Regional report. Let me take a look tonight.

The new region report is great.

Once thing I just noticed something with the Region report is that wines that just have a major appelation like Napa Valley, when that region is broken down it shows the sub appelations like Rutherford and so on.

The problem is that for wines that are just Napa Valley, the appelation is listed as Unknown. I found this confusing since the appelation is Napa Valley.

Can you list the main appelation again as the smaller appelation for the currently Unknown wines? I don't think this is the best solution, but it is better than Unknown in my opinion.

Thanks, Pat

But for these the Appellation really is unknown as "Napa Valley" is the SubRegion and not the Appellation as far as CellarTracker is concerned.

For anything from the sub-region of Napa Valley which doesn't have a more specific Appellation, I would think it would be safe and accurate to have the Appellation be Napa Valley also, as there is a Napa Valley Appellation.

For now I am trying to avoid doubling up and having the SubRegion and Appellation be identical.
