v 3.6.6 (just posted a few minutes ago) The biggest change here is a new filtering UI in wine editor. In general, when you are adding/editing a wine, the picklists for varietals, vineyards etc were all filtered based on the country and region of the wine plus some other parameters. Now this is made visible and toggle-able as in this varietal-picking screen: I also do more filtering by default now. For example, the varietal is now filtered for Region in addition to Country and type. In Burgundy, the vineyard field is filtered by default based on the appellation of the wine. And these filters can be adjusted on the fly. Most parameters now have a "Producer" filter which is off by default, but it is really nice to be able to shorten the designation or vineyard list to only show those in use by that producer. The bulk-import mapper now exposes link to create a new wine from scratch. I slightly cleaned up the login page to makes the "forgotten password" link much more visible.. Also, we have been takign advantage of the changes from the 3.6.2 release to make regional picking much easier. We have done large cleanups of more than half of of the 215,000 wines in the database, and now we have locked out editing the Country/Region/SubRegion/Appellation combinations in all of Australia and Italy, for the USA in Oregon and California, and for France in Alsace, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Loire Valley and the Rhône. This cleanup and locking continues behind the scenes.
