v 3.9.4

There were two major areas of change for this release:
  1. I added a number of features to barcode printing. There was some cleanup to the user-interface of the popup label window. More importantly, I have added several new options for what can appear on the DYMO generated labels (or in the CSV text):
    • Now you can show the bottle location in addition to the bin
    • Scores from JR (Jancis Robinson), WE (Wine Enthusiast), FTLOP (Roy Hersh's For The Love of Port), GV (Gary Vaynerchuk's Wine-Library TV) are now shown if available in a user's cellar.
    • Per-bottle notes and purchase notes can also be shown.
    • The label options dialog has been overhauled to let you choose among these options:

  2. The second major area of change was PURELY plumbing. The label images have been shuffled a bit in the database. No feature changes, but if I messed up there is a chance that label upload could be messed up. (BTW, for about 15 minutes it was indeed messed up, but I believe that has all been sorted out now.)

Hi Eric,

Is there any way to delete an entry from a stored drop down list? For example, if an entry is mispelled (e.g., the name of store in the purchase description window) that mispelling is a permanent (apparently) part of the list. This is not a big deal, but it would be nice to able to correct one's mistakes.

Cheers,

John

Just edit purchase in question to change the store name to the proper spelling. Here are all of your purchases by store: http://www.cellartracker.com/list.asp?Table=PurchaseStore

Click on the store name. Then SHIFT-CLICK on the wineglass next to the name of each store.

Eric,

Thanks, but my question really concerned how to edit self-created drop-down lists, which exist all over the place (and are a desirable feature).

I am not sure what a slef-created dropdown list is. The lists you see all over the place in CellarTracker (of locations, bins, stores etc.) are ALL just drawn from your own data. So if you want to "remove" a location, then edit the data that has that locaiton. If yoiu want to remove a store, edit the purchase that uses that store.

Eric,

Does it make any sense to allow users to add professional reviews other than those provided in the drop down list, e.g., Wine & Spirits? I know that you can place them in the private notes section. What do you think?

You can already. Just to the right of the dropdown with different publications there is an edit control where you can enter whatever publication you would like.
