v 3.9.8 This release is focused in improved flexibility (all platforms) and output (Macintosh-specific) for Dymo generated labels. - Now there is an option to show/hide the store where a wine is purchased and/or the purchase date. This applies to both generated CSV and Dymo output.
- Dymo output on Windows has always had a hardcoded tweak to line-break long wine names after 45 characters (if a space character was present). Then the "shrink to fit" in the Dymo template handles any fine-tuning to make these names fit. Alas, on the Macintosh the Dymo output is based on the CSV (comma separated values) textual output which did no linebreaking. That has changed now. There is a per-user option to disable line-breaking or to let people pick their breaking behavior. The default remains at 45.
- I updated the Mac-Dymo scripts and templates to properly handle a wine name with an embedded carriage return AND to better squeeze informational text onto the label. As such, there is MUCH closer parity now between the Dymo output on Mac and Windows. (The Mac Dymo software is still a bit quirky about label margins and prints the ITF barcodes a lot larger than on the Windows side.)
