v 3.9.9

This was quite overdue. I cleaned up the community data section on the wine drilldown so that it no longer shows a massive list of holdings from all non-anonymous users. Instead it now shows:
  • Total count of inventory; total count of purchased and pending; total count of consumed
  • Detailed holding from any "buddies" (people who have given you the opportunity to see their cellar)
  • For the purchases I also added the top-10 stores purchased from as well as the top stores where purchased occurred in the prior 60 days.

Eric, this is interesting to check out.  Any chance of an option for "all-time" purchases vs. prior 60 days?  On the older wines it is interesting to see where the bulk of the purchases came from.

Eric,

Sorry but I hate the new inventory setup.  I know, I will probably get used to it but I enjoyed browsing to see who had certain wines, especially for non-buddy tasters whose tasting notes I like to follow.  I also like to look at the retailers to see if there were any small retailers I needed to check out.  I found Captial Wine in Albany and Gargiste in Seattle this way.  I dare say that the likelyhood of me stumbling onto both of these with the new setup would be much reduced.  Can you make the display an option chosen in our personal settings, sort of like the level of security we want on our account?

Hate is a really strong word...

OK, now you can toggle between three choices:
  1. Hide all community data
  2. Show buddy data
  3. Show all community data (the old option)
The default is the newer, more compact buddy display.

You can toggle this in your profile settings: http://www.cellartracker.com/editprofile.asp
