4/12/2024 - Bjweiss Likes this wine: 93 pointsThis will fool many as champagne in a blind tasting. It sure did for me. Outstanding wine with enough restraint to sense place. Really, really impressive wine and a benchmark for US quality sparkling wine. |

Mellow, evolved, firm backbone, complex, great staying power. If there are any signs of decline, they are subtle. Excellent. |

3/3/2024 - Frank Murray III wrote: NRThis bottle showed stone fruit, with some acidity of grapefruit supporting it. Mandarin orange, apple and some light mineral, with a brisk/tight finish. This seems less open than the bottle I had last year....stoppered the bottle and it's held the CO2 well overnight. In getting to retaste this again, it's worthy of an update to my note. I missed the pear in the wine yesterday, it's quite present tonight. And what I can reinforce is that the 2016 really puts the fruit center--there is plenty of it washing through the palate, and the finish has relaxed more, with the wine less coiled in the finish. What succeeds here is that John has managed to get plenty of fruit concentration, alongside enough citrus and still mitigate (at least for me) any overt austerity from the Brut Nature approach. My bet is that this can age out longer, meld a bit more and still improve. |

2/18/2024 - Fatkidfromfl Likes this wine: 95 pointsAbsolutely delightful. Tons of acidity. Green apple, lemon, slight toast. Finish just kept going and going. After a long event, we had 1/2 bottle left, so I Drank this straight from the bottle the way a good sparkling wine was meant to be drunk. Do you find this review helpful? Yes - No / Comments (2) |

Given that it was still a fairly good showing with some of the more expected fruit and meat coming out, but I'd hoped it had more life left in it. |

Palate has red fruit, little spice/pepper and earth. Medium body with plenty of acid, some tannin presence. Finishes with savory notes, faint fruit notes. A nicely balanced, complex wine. No sign of decline. |

8/2/2023 - jkclifton@gmail.com Likes this wine: 90 pointsVery good, not a lot of notes. Clearly new world in style but not big, oak in particular is present in a supporting role but not prominent on its own. Ready to drink but could see another 10+ years in cellar. |

7/31/2023 - JimVan Likes this wine: NRHere is what John Cabot had to say -The 2016 Tributary sourced entirely from Marier vineyard. Its a blend of 80% Zinfandel, 10% Syrah, and 10% Viognier all fermented together in a 1.5 ton fermenter. Dark red fruits are dense and structured, with nice spice and a lingering finish. This was aged in three year old French oak for 22 months and bottle unfined and unfiltered. |

7/28/2023 - Gatsbeaner Likes this wine: 89 points4 years on lees, brut zero, smells slightly funky/cheesy on the nose. Tastes like lemon and a lot of minerality. Get a hint of green apple jolly rancher. Could use some more age to gain complexity. A bit one note with the citrus flavor. |
