Opened, poured and let sit about 1/25 hrs. Then: Nose dark reddish fruit. Initial taste is dark reddish fruit; fairly balanced; acidity OK; some grippiness and warmth on the finish. Over the next 45 min, fruit stays pretty much the same/monotone; tannins a bit more noticeable on the finish; warmth on the finish recedes slightly. Approachable/drinkable now, but tannins and alcohol need more time to integrate for a better experience.

I had a bottle at my daughter's house that was somewhat vinegary - thought it was passed its prime. This bottle was very good and should be at its prime at least another year

92/93. PnP. This has aromas of raspberries, flowers, iron fillings, blackcurrants and cassis. Its solid muscular medium bodied nicely oaked blue and red fruits palate has great freshness and end longish, fresh and tapering. 13.5%: Drink now with food or lay down 5-10 years. Superb value at 22 Euros.

Agreeing with most reviews here.
Balanced wine, but less expressive than expected. I could even say it's a bit closed for the moment. A decent wine, but getting less than wat the pro's are promising. Next bottles will have to wait a while. I guess the wine will be at it's best around 8 years of age...

Deep ruby
Med+ intensity on the nose, dark plum, clove, black pepper, developing.
Dry, high acidity, high tannins, full body, med intensity, dark plum, toast, violet, med finish.
This bottle is suspected to be a little corked. It’s right at my threshold to be sensed but not 100% sure. The fruit notes is a bit muted when we opened the bottle last night. Tried to decant in the bottle overnight, however, it’s not helpful.

Solid, typical Bordeaux, great QPR. Pretty tight, not very expressive, but balance seems good. Check back in a couple of years.

Decanted and drank over two days. Nose somewhat reticent, but fruit and tar are there. Tannin and acidity has settled over the past 10 months leaving black fruit, cut brick/minerality, slightly drying finish. Good on its own and better with food. Will continue to evolve positively. No problem drinking this now, or wait for a year for something even more interesting.

59% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot, and 4% Petit Verdot aged in 35% new oak. Nose is sweet oak driven with some red and dark berry fruit. Nice elegant feel with a medium+ body. It’s the least heavy of the 3 wines. Medium acid. Still tannic without food but approachable with food. The nose integrates well over time and more fruit comes out but the tannins still remain without food. Others may prefer to age it longer for that reason but it should age 10+ more years too. 90+

Ok.
Im Vergleich scheint mir der 2020er eine Stufe stimmiger, lebendiger, was Frucht, integrierte Tannine und Säurequalität anlangt.

Wine tasting with colleagues: Agree with previous notes that this was dark-fruited, tannic and closed at the moment. Thought this would be open but guess I missed the window.

Ten-year-old St Estephe and what a banger food wine. No bricking on the rim but sediment inside the bottle. 56% Merlot, 40% Cab, 2% Cab Franc, 2% Petit Verdot

Medium minus aromas of cassis, dried red fruit, cream, potting soil, dried herbs, game, and perfume. A juicy delicious wine with flavours of cassis, red plum, cocoa, red currant, and a hint of dusty tannins. Medium plus acidity with soft tannins after 90 minutes. Lovely.

Nose of plum, violet, mint, leather. Chewy tannins with acidity hitting late. Palate of blackberry, orange, graphite and oak. Long oak and wet stone finish. Structure and balance significantly improved after 1.5-2hr decant

Dark color for bordeaux but light comes thru. Excellent energy on the palate, strong follow thru to a long finish. Berries galore with some vanilla. Very clean and refreshing. Medium tannin and acidity. Well balanced. This drinks well now young, but I suspect the nose will develop more with time. Drink 2024-2040

Disappointing. This wine was recommended for its "velvety" character. However, after being decanted for several hours, its taste was very ordinary and it lacked both body and finish. Does not justify its $30 price.

Wanted to revisit this wine before making a rebuy. Initially served at about 65 F, and this wine didn't show as well (dominant lead pencil and a slight mid-palate bitterness showed up). Gave it a bit of a chill to the high 50s F and a 1 hour decant, and that is the wine I remember. Maybe a bit more lead pencil on the palate, but good QPR. Going to grab another 6 so I can see how this evolves over the next decade
