This was enjoyed by quite a group of folks that hadn’t had experience with older wines. So, it had good color, little bit of fruit remaining, just very slightly medicinal, tannins way in the background, filling the mouth. I don’t think this is in decline. I do think it has another 10 years of life. Certainly drinking well now. |

There was some sediment as expected, so I decanted but it is a wine you could p&p. No noticable bricking, amazing medium garnet color, another good indicator. Green and black pepper, wild mushrooms, blue fruits, some leather and earth on the nose. There is so much going on on the palate. It confirms green peppers, wild mushrooms, and leather, but also offers blue cheese, dark chocolate, ripe cherries and cranberries. Long finish with cooking spices. I wish I had a few more bottles. I bought these bottles from an auction, special thanks to the person who kept them in such a good condition for years! |

What a great wine deep garnet red color well balanced with lovely dark black fruits. Like "Boburban55" mentioned in his note TOO EASY to drink and went great with some grilled blue cheese burgers but great by itself too. Recently bought a 6pk of St Clement Johanna Cab 19' but it didn't show as well as this on first bottle. Probably need to give it some more sideways time. |

Better on all counts than the 2007 Janzen Napa we drank last night. Still has a few years of solid drinking ahead. I am consistently impressed at how well the St Clement wines from 2003 to 2007 have held up. A very underrated winery in its day. |
