This was the star of the show for Thanksgiving dinner. Drank from Magnum, so no signs of decline based on age. Bright red and dark fruit. silky tannins and beautiful long finish. Really looking forward to my 2007.

I drank the youngest Kimberley's in my cellar as it was the only bottle left that I had multiples of. its very youthful and full of life. I now am down to a single bottle vertical of 06, 07 & 09 of Kimberleys and I plan to open them all as such. Where o where shall i do so?

No bacon fat on this one but utterly enjoyable. Hold or drink

I shouldn't be so surprised that this wine was so rocking good. beautiful currants on the nose gave away to musty leaves, forest floor and a touch of brown sugar. This was beautifully elegant and was our WOTN over another Ridge and a Playwright BlackOut. just a beautiful wine, simply amazing.

Huuuuuuuuge wine. Tasted a splash from the bottle and this wine screams DECANTER. as we finished up the boneless leg of lamb on the grill, the wine rested in the magnum decanter for another 45 mins. We drank over 2.5 hours and it got better as it continued to soften the edges just a bit on the palate. Dark Berries are primary, oak an d pepper secondary. Really paired well with the lamb.

Classic Washington blend that needed a bit of time in the decanter to start showing all of its glory. the dominant Merlot in the blend really showed nicely and it surprised some of my napa heavy friends to get out and experience wines from the washington region.

In a really great spot right now, sorry to say that this was my last bottle. Nicely balanced wine and if I could pry some out of Mike's cellar, I would take them.

Fantastic wine. Aged petite sirah can get no better in my opinion. Spicy nose that lit up the table when poured into the glass. No decant just drank over 1.5 hrs. Tannins for days but soft and subtle. Really impressive buried treasure!

Pop n Poured with dinner. enjoyed over the course of 1.5 hours. This was tried first, then we tried 'Simone' Simone was approachable from the pull of the cork and we finished it before Sydnee started to open up. As with previous notes, the dark fruit and tannins are there and still a bit edgy. As her namesake ages and the rough edges smooth out, so will this wine. Hold for 5+ years. I will revisit again in another year.

wine was below the shoulder and cork was soaked. I was expecting vinegar and what I received was much, much better. Unbelievable how this wine has held up given what was left in the bottle. Sweet tobacco with leather undertones. after open for an hour or so, it stated to show some subtle fruits. I have 4 more of these and I am so glad.

We had the 04 Kimberleys and the 04 Reed's along side each other with lamb chops for easter dinner. The Kimberleys was very masculine with bloody meats whereas the Reeds was chock full o blueberries and a finish for days. Both wines went well and were great examples of how syrah can contrast given the terroir. Posting this same note for the Reed's.

i didnt blend the two, but I liked the meats of Kimberley with the finish of Reeds.
