Youthful but closed, with a reserved nose of floral notes and black licorice. On the palate, the main impression is of tart cranberries with background notes of earth and soft wood or mushrooms. Full on the palate, if anything a hair low on the acidity but doesn't come off as flabby. I'm probably just being picky. Much more buttery on the palate with a nice finish where the citrus again takes the fore. I think this is very nicely done, a good example of premier cru C-M at a very fair price. Needs a couple of years to really shine, I'd think. |
