Very mellow nose. Light citrus flavors with very smooth tannins. Long lingering finish containing a bit of minerality.

Nice wine, made by nice people. I would buy this wine again. Very nice.

OUTSTANDING

Paired up against the Rubicon Estate 2006 Sauvingon Blanc and it blew away the competition. This wine is crisp and clean with grapefruit all over the place. Great mineral flavors underneath and paired wonderfully with a light shrimp dish.

Light straw in the glass. Grassy with lots of grapefruit and some minerals, though it lacked some acidity becoming a bid flat as a result.

Enjoyed as one of the introductory white wines earlier this evening during the social get-together prior to the main tasting at the Hickory Wine club. Very interesting find, a good, clean and crisp NZ sb, better then Oyster Bay or Kim Crawford. Pale gold, thin, not overly complex but smooth and clean wine. Nose of mint, citrus and lemon grass with primary flavors of citrus, clean acid, mild peach and white pepper on palate. Definitely recommend this wine to lovers of sb and especially NZ sb, a good QPR at this price point.

Straw color. Nose: lime, Fuji apple, and kiwi with accents of petrol, crushed slate/chalk, honeysuckle, and jasmine. Medium body on the palate: lemon/lime citrus, bruised green apple, and pineapple core framed by crushed slate/chalk, jasmine tea, coconut, and star anise. Medium+ acidity. Lingering apple skin, crushed slate/chalk, and pine on the moderate/long finish. Very impressive. Spectacularly versatile food wine. Drink now.

This is really starting to show well; unfortunately, it is my last bottle. Medium to full bodied, very elegant in nose, palate and texture. Much more evolved and improved since my last tasting. Great purity of cassis-dominated fruit, with layers of complex aromas including dark chocolate, roasted coffee, and spice.

Opened at the Haggis aloha party and also took the remainder home to drink the next day with grilled lamb chops marinated in mustard, garlic and soy. Medium bodied with notes of red and black fruit. Not quite big enough for the lamb. 88-89 points.

Lush black cherry, tobacco, earth, anise and menthol with a slight herbal note. Quite tannic and with this much fruit should age gracefully. Much more youthful than its six years would suggest.

No faults here. Solid cab that isn't at all the cloying fruit bomb one frequently gets from family labels trying to impress parker. Looking forward to the remaining 11 bottles of this case.

Black cherry and loam vanilla nose with hints of menthol. Drying tannins round out a lush palate of black raspberry, fresh linen, herbs and tar. Nice to sip on and contemplate, even better with grilled marinated flank steak.

Really good balance of dark fruit, earthy, woody notes, some oak, and a bit of acid to give it life. Smooth through the palate. Too bad my last bottle.
