Very interesting find, a good, clean and crisp NZ sb, better then Oyster Bay or Kim Crawford. Pale gold, thin, not overly complex but smooth and clean wine. Nose of mint, citrus and lemon grass with primary flavors of citrus, clean acid, mild peach and white pepper on palate. Definitely recommend this wine to lovers of sb and especially NZ sb, a good QPR at this price point. |

10/7/2012 - jsums wrote: 90 pointsStraw color. Nose: lime, Fuji apple, and kiwi with accents of petrol, crushed slate/chalk, honeysuckle, and jasmine. Medium body on the palate: lemon/lime citrus, bruised green apple, and pineapple core framed by crushed slate/chalk, jasmine tea, coconut, and star anise. Medium+ acidity. Lingering apple skin, crushed slate/chalk, and pine on the moderate/long finish. Very impressive. Spectacularly versatile food wine. Drink now. |

Much more evolved and improved since my last tasting. Great purity of cassis-dominated fruit, with layers of complex aromas including dark chocolate, roasted coffee, and spice. |
