10/24/2022 - ibglowin Likes this wine: 91 pointsAromas of black and red cherries, cracked pepper, violets and orange peel. The palate is elegant with rounded acidity and fine spicy accents, finishing with pretty floral accents. This was aged for 17 months in mostly concrete and neutral wood. |

1/21/2017 - The Wine Write Likes this wine: 93 pointsPopped and poured, drank over two nights. So good. Better night two. Black cherry/raspberry/plum flavors. Same fruit mix for aromas. Resolved tannins, juicy on the palate. Delicious stuff. |

2/20/2018 - Wine Warrior 1 Likes this wine: 94 pointsI love this wine and it will get better. Needs decanting. Dark berry with floral notes and spices. Touch of vanilla on the edges with solid amount of oak. Long long finish! Medium heavy weight. Look forward to this wine in another year. Worthy of its name:) |

12/27/2020 - WineDuq Does not like this wine: 87 pointsObviously I’m in the minority on this wine. Popped and poured. Very little on the nose besides alcohol (15.8%). Over time it developed some black fruits, oak, a bit of earthiness. Screams Paso Robles, but certainly not Mourvèdre of which it is 100%. Medium bodied, hot, very ripe, over extracted, blowsy. The finish is hot and cough syrupy. Shows every bit of its alcohol. Ironically we had a vintage port earlier and it seemed more nuanced and less alcoholic. Second day no improvement, still high octane cough syrup. |

2/28/2018 - tc from santee Likes this wine: 93 pointsWith four years in the barrel and bottle the 100% varietal Mourvèdre is really good. Dark berries, chocolate with spice. A 45 second finish leave know doubt this wine is in its prime. |

12/11/2020 - Immigrator Likes this wine: 94 pointsCracked this open on NY style pizza nite, but gave it an hour before pouring. This was a nice Jordan Fiorentini-signed bottle, but the cork had some staining about 1/3 of the way up even though it has been kept in a Eurocave at correct temp and humidity since arrival. Fortunately, the wine was in a special place and singing in spite of the temp issue the cork indicates. |

4/9/2021 - fournet wrote: NRI have enjoyed many Epoch wines over the years, but this is my first experience with the Creativity bottling. I did not enjoy this as much as the others. The alcohol is more dominant and the structure and complexity is not there. While I generally expect a “big wine” from Epoch, they are typically balanced, all things considered. Not the case with this one. |

10/28/2022 - DrBad Likes this wine: 94 pointsDrinking great now. Smoky, blueberry and spice aromas. The Mourvèdre has softened up, giving a luxurious mouthfeel. Cherry cola, blueberry and black pepper on the palate. One more of the '13 left but no hurry. |

1/25/2024 - brianofthevine Likes this wine: 93 pointsJordan for the win! Beautiful wine right now at 11-years old...100% Mourvedre. Predominantly blueberry fruit with some red/black cherry. Notes of violets, leather, cracked pepper, and some minerality to it. Nice acidity and tannin level with a wonderful long finish. Don't usually see many these in Paso...this one is a keeper. |

12/25/2020 - Solojeff Likes this wine: 93 pointsOpened Christas evening 2020. Dark plums and currants, hint of caper/brine. Still tannin there but I wouldn’t wait much longer if you still want fruit. It’s got all the dark berry flavors that a Mouvedre should have. Medium bodied, a little bit lighter than your average decent Malbec. Would be perfect at this moment with a lean cut of red meat or something braised. As my wife just said, does not pair well with veggie chili (black beans, tomatoes, chili spices, not spicy) brought out too much pepper. |
