11/2/2022 - bps2266 wrote: NRdense translucent ruby appearance. nose shows sweet raspberry, cherry, and a bit of a vegetal note, maybe dill? some mushroom, butter, and crushed stone as well. medium bodied with plus acidity. fresh, smooth, and easy. tart raspberry and cranberry fruit with some green chive notes and more stony mineral on the back. medium length finish and fine ground tannin. much better than a bottle 2 months ago, fruit has emerged and tannins have integrated. |

2/21/2023 - oxidatif wrote: NRnose is all violets, maybe a little smoke. Bright Med+ acid up front, more violet cherry raspberry, some more of that graphite smoky thing towards the finish. Little bit of VA but it’s just a bit. Easy breezy, but definitely feels like a “we want to charge more for Raisins Gaulons but people would balk at a price hike so let’s just make a new cuvée” situation |

6/25/2023 - jlhkiss Likes this wine: 91 pointsFunky, earthy, stinky, definitely a strong whiff of dog crap on the nose, but with 3+ hours of air (in bottle) this developed fresh strawberry, tart huckleberry, and sour cherry/rhubarb notes that fades into bitters, cloves, and wood smoke on the finish. Linear and one dimensional, this is well-made but on the natural/rustic side of things, so understandably polarizing. For us, we love it. Drink 2023 -2028. Technical score: 90. Enjoyment score: 92. |

4/6/2024 - eyewino Likes this wine: 90 pointsBrilliant ruby fading to pink with a thin watery rim. Fresh strawberry on the nose with mushroom, and forest floor. On the palate is medium tannins, ripping acidity, and flavors of raspberry, mineral, and barnyard. Long finish. Recommended. Drink now through 2027. |

The wine was nice medium bodied, a certain elegance, subtle crunchy fruit , good length and nice freshness. What stood out was the lovely minerality in the blue and red fruit aromas. |

7/20/2017 - tcavallo Likes this wine: NRI had to check one of these out right off the bat, and damn are they singing already. Warm florals and bright gamay fruit on the nose, signature crunchy red fruit on the palate but with enough dusty minerality to keep it from being nothing more than a simple summer sipper. Interested to see how the difference in soil translates over the next 10+ years in the bottle. |

7/26/2017 - bps2266 wrote: 90 pointsdark rose color. nose dense, almost creamy, with cherry, rose, peach, and vanilla apparent. lighter body than the nose would suggest. little acid. palate is a ringer for my favorite cranberry sauce- sweet cranberry, vanilla, cinnamon, orange zest, dijon, and cracked black pepper. some ripe peach there too. no real tannin to speak of. i would think this is better alone (as i had it) than with food. fun. |

8/7/2017 - Forrestland Does not like this wine: 75 pointsThis was my first time trying a Gamay. I’m not sure if it was the varietal or this specific wine that I did not enjoy. More research needed to solve this question. It had a strong herb flavor that did not agree with my palate. |

Elegant, delicate, and delicious. Very much in the Lapierre style. First vintage for this cru at this address, and seems very successful to me. Can attack this early. |
