I thought the alcohol was a little more noticiable and that it didn't have quite the acidity of last year's version. I was bored with it and switched to beer but Ann and others still enjoyed it. Will try it again though I'm sure as Ann loves this wine on hot days. |

2/25/2010 - Outplaying wrote: 83 pointsLots of dark fruits, black cherries, coffee I think and a hint of a vegetative note....maybe bell pepper. Very soft with minimal tannins and not really enough acidity. A little flabby. Tastes pretty good but lacking structure and balance. For 9 bucks - not bad I guess. (part of a collier case) |

Some apricot, stone fruits and cream and as others have said a somewhat fuller mouthfeel, but then the finish is nice and crisp and refreshing. There is nice acidity and a long finish. We liked this quite a bit and will pick up a few more. |

6/9/2008 - Outplaying wrote: 88 pointsThe nose was excellent -- layers of aromas -- tropical fruit with some floral that was difficult for me to identify -- possibly viognier-like? Really loved the nose. Taste was more complex than expected. Totally unfamiliar with this grape so no expectations -- had a creaminess like a chard, and was probably a tad on the sweet side, but very pleasant to drink -- wish I had more than one glass of it but had to share with others! |
