On the palate - mature, oaky, well balanced and elegant but also with great depth and length. Oak is to the fore, mature red fruit flavours add balance and the length is incredible. On the palate there's a wonderful balance of mature red fruit, vibrant acidity and well integrated, soft tannins. A very classy wine with a few more years left, but it cannot get much better than it is now. |

Nose of forest floor, some vegetal qualities but with definite fruit too. Blackcurrants and black cherries in fact. Then there is the leather, sweet spice, dark chocolate and tobacco too. Amazing nose! Palate does not disappoint either. Incredibly big, tannic and chewy, yet remarkably smooth too. Spicy ripe fruit persists through a very long finish. Lots going on with this wine. Nicely balanced now, but would even survive a few more years of careful cellaring (as they say). |

First word I pronounce is "sumptuous" thanks to its suductive nose with notes of cigar box and smoke. The palate is consistent and still richer with mature fruit melting with very elegant oak and some enticing spices. After some oxigenation some hints of leather and graphite appear. Thick and dense. A top Carignano, wonderfully aged first in oak barrels and then in my cellar (for more than 7 years) which grants wonderful emotions and pleasantness. Best at 16° Celsius. Highly recommended |

This followed through on the palate with a silky smooth mouth feel. Very smooth and flavorful with red licorice and strawberries coming out after the wine was open for a while. |
