4/11/2020 - christ80 Likes this wine: 97 pointsJust incredible to see how aging has positively impacted this wine. At first, there was almost a mushroom scent combined with a tinny finish. Afger 30 minutes, the bottle opened up and was one of the best burgundies. Perhaps it's partly the accumulation of 4 weeks in confinement due to the COVID-19, but this wine shared with my wife was just nearly perfect. Very rich nose, mature, forest, very seductive. Elegant on the oalate, but not lean and long finish. Paired with bbq entrecote that had been dry aged and mature. All in all, a mature pairing for an Easter weekend celebration |

Much more hedonistic and less intellectually than the Rousseau, with red fruits and noticeable garigue and liquorice notes, plus leather and tobacco. Not quite the quality of the Edouard Jantot Chambertin 61 enjoyed recently, but still very enjoyable and fun to drink, and matched the rabbit and snail pie wonderfully. 95pts |

Amazing for a 35+ yr old wine. |

The nose was quite alcoholic, with tobacco, leather smell, which took 2 hours in the glass to transform into red fruit, full body nose, which was nice. The palate was great in the first place, with cherry, fully integrated tannin, with strength. Medium finishing with some mint. Best 1.5-2 hours in the glass |
