Explosive, vibrant aromas of blueberry, cassis, blackberry, minerals, white pepper, musk, Church incense and thyme, that, despite the ripeness, float effortlessless and airily and playfully from the glass. Nuance after nuance reveal themselves on the palate, as roasted meat and orchid-like flower flavours add themselves to the blue and blackberries. Very impressive length underlayered with a thick layer of minerals and ridden throughout by fine-grained tannins. Lots of inner strength, seductive sweetness, very refreshing and racy, very very beautiful and floral and elegant on the palate. Probably the best young Chambolle Musigny I have ever tasted. |

Stupendous nose of beef broth, wild strawberry's, ranier cherries and plums. This wine has some of the smoothest tannins I've seen in a long time. This is as good a young Burgundy as I have seen ina long time. Just majestic stuff. I think this was aged in 100% new oak, but you do not even get a wiff of it. |

9/1/2021 - SineQuaNon Likes this wine: 96 pointsConsumed at a mixed Byob tasting. In the nose, this was clearly the Burgundy between this and the 2006 Soldera Riserva consumed next to it. Bright, ethereal, zippy and just plain top Burgundy that could make me weep. No 2009 heat whatsoever. Slight notes of toasty oak reveals the somewhat modern approach. Guesses were mostly 2010 Vosne or Gevrey, so pretty on point by my tasting group. 96p |
