11/5/2023 - CGWIND Likes this wine: 98 pointsOpened up last night with roast chicken - and it was amazing. Ripe delicous cherry on the nose and palate. Balanced with some nice tannins and acid and lots of fruit shining through. It had been buried in my cellar for years and was wary when opening it up. The cork fell apart a bit - but despite all that, as delightful and enjoyable a wine as I have had in many months. All at dinner agreed. |

4/9/2023 - andrewvputnam Likes this wine: 96 pointsA stellar representation of Pinot Meunier and the complexity that evolves from aging. It showed beautiful baked red fruits with spices and smooth tannins that contributed to a long finish. Totally need another bottle. |

5/21/2020 - Lipsman wrote: 96 pointsDrinking spectacularly. The color of a clear, dark rosé. Thrown a tremendous amount of sediment. Generous cherry, roses, juicy strawberries, long complex finish. And all of that youthful, excessive oak has been absorbed. Should hold for another eight years. Well done. |

5/21/2020 - The Drunken Cyclist Likes this wine: 96 pointsRetail $85. I picked up three bottles of this wine for $50/bottle from Last Bottle over four years ago, and this was the first that we popped. Whoa. I imagined that this would be good, but not *this* good. Slightly golden in the glass, with aromas of rich lemon curd, ripe pear, hints of vanilla, and just the slightest touch of oak (100% French, 20% new for 19 months). The palate is pretty close to mind-blowing. Imagine a Puligny-Montrachet, but only with more fruit even eight years out. Balanced, subtle nuance, depth, tartness, and a finish that lasts for minutes. Amazing wine. thedrunkencyclist.com |

1/28/2023 - The Drunken Cyclist Likes this wine: 96 pointsRetail $85. It has been another couple of years since the last bottle of this wine that we popped and while the wine might be slightly more golden, it is no less gangbusters. An utterly fantastic Chardonnay. |

4/25/2020 - mosborn Likes this wine: 96 pointsCall me a contrarian but this was a shockingly good surprise. Amazing floral nose, sweet and smooth and somehow - somehow - very nicely acidic. Pop and pour. The cork crumbled immediately and I had to decant and strain through it but that was the worst of this bottle. A complete and astonishing revelation. |

5/9/2020 - fdub Likes this wine: 95 pointsGreat comparison with the Wayfarer. Really aging well. Common theme with the Fort Ross Seaview wines is the great structure these wines show. Very bright color and deep floral and dark red fruit aromas. Balanced palate with long staining finish. Excellent wine. |

1/24/2013 - joefel Likes this wine: 95 pointsOpened, poured thru a Vinturi, and tasted. Beautiful color with a nose of cherries. An elegant-style Pinot that is wonderfully balanced - good acidity, good structure from the tannins, with a fantastic mouthfeel and a long finish that leaves you wanting another sip. Improved significantly the longer it was opened. Definite Sonoma Coast in style - has some of the same qualities as Hirsch and Fort Ross. Wonderful bottle of wine! |
