Africa. #2; COLOR-light golden; NOSE-mix of really dry hay w/ lime juice; also butternut squash; very vibrant & spritzy; TASTE-really nice acid on the back-end; big gobs of honey; a heavy dose of Granny Smith apple (almost apple juice); nice acid on the back-end (good food wine); solid Chenin Blanc, but a little one dimensional; GV-87 87 points |

W_Chenin Blanc - Loire Valley. #3; COLOR-golden; NOSE-this is wild; a little orange peel/Gran Marnier action; heavy dose of ripe pear dripping all over you; sugar cubes; very high floral action as well; very spicy & racy (radish); very complex; a hint of burnt rubber; TASTE-very dry; this is an exceptional food wine (especially w/ shellfish); the wine is very creamy on the palate; heavier viscosity on the mouthfeel than I expected; undeniably this wine has very pure pear flavors on the mid-palate; good length; nice acid coming through on the back-end; missing a little of the oomph; a gorgeous mouthfeel; drink now; I'm a little disappointed as I had high hopes for this great producer; WS-90; GV-88+ 88+ points |

W_Pinot Bianco - Italy. #1; COLOR-gorgeous medium golden; NOSE-a beautiful custard component; potpourri action; éclair cream on top of an open lemon w/ sugar on top; quite pretty; TASTE-this has tremendous weight; I get peach fuzz & Bellini on the back-end; a little oak; butterscotch & caramel; great weight and finishes with great acidity; great mid-palate transition; this is a spectacular under $20 white wine; a tremendous effort; WS-90; GV-92+ 92+ points |
