Schade! |

7/30/2021 - Z1nnfull Likes this wine: 88 pointsDrinking very nicely now after giving it some air. No one will mistake this for a top of the line, but still it is a 100% varietally correct French Burgundy. Floral on the nose did not translate entirely to the taste, but still quite enjoyable. Second night it had a little prune ish taste to it that disappeared after I gave it some more air. Very nice for the price, but I'd drink by EOY 2021. A tad bit more robust than middle of the road, but certainly not an alcohol or fruit bomb. Recommend. |

1/1/2015 - Papies wrote: 90 pointsGood wine but not great. A lot better than expected with none of the green or bitter side of the vintage. Open on the nose , good dark fruit side . On the palate it has a nice round feel, drinks well now and the tannins are soft. Still good acidity and life in it. 90 |

Sweet red fruit attack, fairly ripe and chocolatey, yet it retains some restraint due to good acidity and cooler green notes. Light tannins. A good mouthful but hardly typical or even recognizable for that matter as Chambolle. |

5/4/2021 - _water.into.wine_ Likes this wine: 91 pointsGreat wine. Still feeling far too young as so much oak and savoury notes. My wife felt quite Tart and bitter in some aspects. Got better with air, so you need to decant this a few hours or let it age in the cellar. Looking forward to trying again. I think this could be great in 3-5 years |

10/7/2021 - Jeremy Holmes wrote: NRComplex aromatics of pine needles, aniseed, black earth, camphor and dark fruits. The palate is at that mid-development point, still quite fresh, with a few savoury notes sneaking in. It is relatively firm through the mid-palate and has a touch of extractive bitterness to the finish. Not bad but not great Echezeaux. |

No need for backup, pleasant midweight Burg. Ripe black cherry fruit, some sandalwood and spice (cloves?). Medium length, modest tannins. Not the depth of a great GC, but at a price less than most 1ers it is good value and tasty. |
