3/23/2016 - xedr Likes this wine: 90 pointsIt's a zinfandel, and a port!! Love it! Especially with ginger snaps. Meaty enough to be a meal all by itself, including dessert. Somebody else said tastes like chocolate, and I get that texture, but the flavor for me is caramel, with a bit of cherry and plum. I don't normally like sweet wines, but there's body and complexity enough to balance and elevate the experience. I let it breathe for 20 mins after opening, but it's probably unnecessary. Ages very well. |

It has fabulous nose, almost as much fun to smell as drink. When you reward yourself with a sip, it is amazing, bursting with Meritage quality array of flavors, the finishes almost like a great Bourbon or Scotch. |
