I tasted this along with the same producer's Kirsch and Poire William, and this one was the worst. It smelled like fried seaweed chips.

Maybe gone over, pretty average Gewurz a bit flat the zip had gone from the spices normally associated with this wine and it did little even after some air, in fact the air probably finished it, should have been consumed awhile back.

Opened with Thai food and this was nicely matched. The spicy Thai food really accentuated the ginger notes in the wine in a good way. The high acid and off-dry profile worked well to cut through the spiciness as well.
Would buy again.

Appearance: clear, pale lemon, legs are not significant

On nose : medium+ intensity, tropical fruit : pineapple, apple, lichee, honey sweet, white flora aroma, a hint of white pepper spiciness, not that complex.

On palate : a bit off dry, medium acidity med to med+ body with high alcohol (14 abv), honey sweet, stone fruit, a hint of lychee lingering inside and the aftertaste, medium flavour intensity with medium finishing.

Aroma is much better than on palate, still you can distinguish it as a Gewürztraminer in blind tasting. One may find that the acidity is not good enough to balance the sweetness. As a Trimbach, I would say it just an acceptable one. I wonder that 92 pts from the WE was given is overrated. Though it is not my favourite one, it can still present the character of Gewürztraminer.

Love this wine. Floral with a tropical fruit driven nose. The tropical notes continue on the palate with more than enough acid to balance out the rich fruit flavors. Great pair to Thai food and probably most other spicy food.

I served this in my wine course. Classic nose of intense rose petals, spice and a touch of lychee. Medium weight on the mouth, finishes long and completely dry. Simple, but excellent for what it is. Great QPR.

Aromatic, of course - note of white/pink roses, lychee, melon, yellow apple and Turkish delight. A hint of heat. Not bone dry, has some residual sugar, almost on the border of being off-dry. Medium (-) acidity and high alcohol, which tends to go out of balance quite a bit. Bitter, medium long finish.

Clear, light canary yellow with an aromatic nose of yellow pomelos, star fruits with a hint of canned lychees (it's certainly not fresh lychees), with a muted impression of a spiciness that is comparable to red stargazer flowers mixed with pomelo blossoms, and candle wax. The palate is clean, medium-bodied, quite sweet, and rather plain but pleasant. The flavors of sweet tropical yellow fruits as those mentioned in the above are present tough not as intense or clearly delineated as I would like or expect in this varietal. Nonetheless, it was a nice and simple treat since it's been quite a while since I had a Gewürztraminer.

Big aromas of flowers on the nose, which continues on the palate with passionfruit, orange, and whatever St. Germaine is made from. There’s an unctuousness in the mouth providing a big and delicious drinking experience. ABV at 14 percent. Not much of an acidic backbone but very nice nonetheless. A brief note of minerality on the finish that you'll miss if you're not looking for it.

This had a very nice floral nose unfortunately for me it had an odd bitter note on the mid palate, flavors were of citrus though, my wife did not notice the bitter note and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a bit sweet, with moderately low acidity, paired well with bratwurst wherein the flavors of the bratwurst were very positively influenced by this. Would not drink by itself.
