1/6/2014 - dsgris wrote: 88 pointsClear with a very light straw color, sweet melon nose. Off dry, medium body with light mineral and acid for balance. Much smoother than the mineral driven OR PG, nice drinking if not too complex, saved by the nice acid and residual sugar balance. |

11/26/2012 - dsgris Likes this wine: 91 pointsCrystal clear with just a hint of white gold, nice mild citrus nose. Dry, slightly tart lemon. Very clean mouthfeel with a hint of residual sugar to balance the acid, nice body and semi sweet grapefruit. This is very good, a great QPR @ $10, QFC. It compared favorably with and had more flavor that the Eyrie PG @ 2/3 the price. A to Z always delivers top value. |

5/17/2010 - dsgris wrote: 84 pointsNice rosé color, strawberry nose. Ripe strawberry, light body with a slight mineral, stoney taste with a little residual sugar. Not overly sweet as previously noted, just a little flat, could be crisper and tarter for a more pleasant finish. |

9/18/2012 - dsgris Likes this wine: 89 pointsLight to medium ruby, dusty ripe cherry nose. Lightly dry, medium fruit, some bitter tannins on the PnP. Medium fruit, cherries, sooth mouthfeel, tart tannins on the finish. I will let it breathe for a night. While the fruit is not too heavy, I prefer a little more acid to fruit balance. Night two; lilac nose, very nice balance of acid and fruit, some floral elements that are very nice when not too heavy, good body and smooth mouthfeel, soft tannins on the finish. Super with some spicy salami and crackers. |

5/10/2010 - dsgris Does not like this wine: 82 pointsVery dark ruby, strong alcohol, black berry, resinous nose. Sour black berry, asphalt, sour, tart finish. On the third night, was not so resinous and was moderately drinkable, still better in a sangria blend. |

8/15/2010 - dsgris Does not like this wine: 80 pointsDark ruby with magenta rim, strong tarry, jammy nose. Dry, strong acid, tannic, jammy, fruity. More like grape juice with alcohol. Hard to tell if it will improve with more age or not. A lot of bottle variation. This one is drinkable, but barely, and better for sangria with some spritzer. Got a little better with some counter age, 5 days later much more drinkable on it's own. A little petrol on the nose, raspberry, plum with some acid to balance the fruit, light tannins with tart finish. A lot of surprises in this bottle. Raised a couple of points with open time. Nose still detracting element. Last glass the petro nose blew off, needs plenty of air. |

9/3/2010 - dsgris wrote: 80 pointsGood color and nose. Has that green stem, petroleum taste on opening. Will let air and see if it improves. Two nights later added a dash of pomegranate and club soda, a whole lot better& less alcohol. |
