3/14/2015 - PMJak11 Does not like this wine: 77 pointsWeak nose, with modest hints of olives. Extremely light and definitely not tasting like a Bordeaux. Might need some age, but took a chance on this one and it didn't work out.... |

7/10/2015 - Lakefarm wrote: 88 pointsDeep crimson in the glass, on the nose it shows concentrated notes of black fruits, coffee been, chocolate, green bell pepper, and vanilla, medium (+) intensity on the nose. On the palate it's full bodied, showing same notes as on the nose, with a lot of sweetness and vanilla in the finish. Medium tannins and acidity. Moderate lenght. An easy drinking style that will please a broad audience without being inspiring, drink now or over the next 5-6 years. |

3/3/2016 - mwneil Likes this wine: 89 pointsDrank in the Caymans, good balance wine, lacking a bit of acid that could make it more exciting, nice fruit, good color, drank with hamburgers, drank with an 09 Gloria which was brighter and livelier. Will drink again, not sure how well this wine will age but it is a good value at the moment. |

4/14/2016 - JimHow Likes this wine: 91 pointsGot this for $22.99. It is 70% cabernet and 30% merlot. What is so impressive is how representative it is of that region. It immediately screams out "Pessac" from the glass shortly after uncorking. It is the Barde-Haut of Graves. Balanced, "pure." 12.5%!!!! I mean, hallelujah, 12.5%!!! How often do you see that? Tobacco, gravel, leaves, earth… The whole dusty Graves nine yards. I've really warmed to these 2012s. La Fleur de Bouard, Barde-Haut, Corbin, and now Haut-Bergey…. Very classy wines, at very reasonable $20-something prices. All of them will age 10-15 more years. I give this 2012 Haut-Bergey a solid 92 points. |

Palate contains mainly green, metallic notes, stone, gravel, and touches of hard berry. Very rustic and old world as expected. Still youthful. |

7/15/2016 - David_T wrote: 89 pointsAromas of dark fruit, bbq smoke and earth. The palate matches - black cherries, black currant, earth, a hint of meat/smoke with firm tannins and medium acidity. Drinkable now with a bit of air but I think this will get better with a bit more time and then drink well for a while. |

8/1/2016 - Gruner40 Likes this wine: 86 pointsNot bad despite a lot of concerns about 2012 vintage. However, it is definitely not as good as other vintages J have had from this winery including 2008 which I thought was great wine. Fairly thin for a bordeaux blend. Recommend at least 30 minutes decanting or at least pour in glass before drinking. Some improvement with age likely but dont see it ever being one of their better wines. Thus being sold in low $20's which is fair value and overall good weekday wine |
