I remember trying this wine about 1 year earlier and loved it. This bottle was just as I recalled ...Excellent !
Nice Rhone blend, predominately Syrah based. Deep color. Big full nose of raspberry & strawberry. Spicy lingering finish.
Nice change from a Bordeaux Blend.

Interesting blend of Syrah, Mourvedre, Grenache. Great nose of red & black fruits. The palate is firm with a hint of spice. Finish is long and enjoyable.
Fantastic wine, my last bottle. 50+5+12+15+6=88

Love those Central Coast Syrahs with the peppery berry thing going on...in this case in a Rhone (SMG) blend. Like this quite a bit, especially for the price.

light, fruity wine. Hints of apple and it kind of reminds me of a sauvignon blanc.

This started out lacking structure and tasting of cough drops but improved considerably with a few minutes in the glass; A bit of spice; Good weight; A solid wine

Had with homemade pizza tonight. Decanted and drank. Liking Rhone reds more and more. Aromas are hard to define. Meaty, Green pepper? Smoky? Flavors of beef jerky, tobacco, not much fruit. Well balanced, good finish, light at first and then more full bodied as it opened up. Good stuff.

Nose of ripe berry fruits yet not overwhelming like some Paso wines can be, had the nose of a refined Cote du Rhone but was a bit hot in the mouth due to the high alcohol. This set the tone for the rest of it since the alcohol masked the subtle nuances of the grapes and turned them into a tour de force of deep blackberry/raspberry flavors with little structure. I guess this is par for the course in Paso wines, but was hoping for a bit more out of it.

What a nice blend! Subtlety is not an adjective I normaly associate with Paso; but that's exactly what this was. A dark berry and spicy nose with a hint of burnt wood. If soft was a taste, that's what this wine tastes like with mixed berries. Really nice either alone or with food. Long, long finish. Great $10 wine.

No flaws but restrained flavors. Definitely cab, very light oak. House red for a high end restuarant in bloomfield hills. At happy hour $5 a glass. A bit of black fruits.

Giant Wine Sale & Tasting 1/23/2016 (Cellar on Greene, Columbia, SC): This is a pretty decent approximate $10 Chardonnay. The nose has a touch of butterscotch, ginger and fig. The palate tastes like a cool climate, rustic, Chablis style, not necessarily fruit forward, secondary flavors first, apple, pear and citrus. Only a touch of oak, and not full malo lactic. Ginger and other brown spice flavors.
