Flavors of beef jerky, tobacco, not much fruit. Well balanced, good finish, light at first and then more full bodied as it opened up. Good stuff. |

4/12/2010 - tequilajake wrote: 87 pointsNose of ripe berry fruits yet not overwhelming like some Paso wines can be, had the nose of a refined Cote du Rhone but was a bit hot in the mouth due to the high alcohol. This set the tone for the rest of it since the alcohol masked the subtle nuances of the grapes and turned them into a tour de force of deep blackberry/raspberry flavors with little structure. I guess this is par for the course in Paso wines, but was hoping for a bit more out of it. |

A dark berry and spicy nose with a hint of burnt wood. If soft was a taste, that's what this wine tastes like with mixed berries. Really nice either alone or with food. Long, long finish. Great $10 wine. |

The nose has a touch of butterscotch, ginger and fig. The palate tastes like a cool climate, rustic, Chablis style, not necessarily fruit forward, secondary flavors first, apple, pear and citrus. Only a touch of oak, and not full malo lactic. Ginger and other brown spice flavors. |
