TBD
As noted in February, this is a delicious wine! Followed up, and bought more.

AW is as good a Bordeaux vigneron as there is, this side of... Bordeaux?

Wines are classic and consistent. Maybe new methods in the winery, but the results are purely old school
They're fantastic.

This wine is largest holding in cellar. Want to keep track of aging, especially with other CT scripture.

Decanted into magnum, 60 min ahead.
(Definitely needs decanting. Sediment is plentiful , which is not an issue other than it clouds about 2-3 ounces! So, stand it to early in the day! And know it's there. Also, the O2 does wonders for the wine, as most often does)

Deep Ruby (zero garnet)

Red and Dark fruits
Plum Strawberry Raspberry
Chili
Earth
Vanilla
Chocolate
Pipe tobacco

Dry
Body - Med Full
Alcohol - high
Acid - med high
Balanced nicely
Tannins - medium ( resolving, but similar to Feb.)
Viscosity - full palate
Finish long - 60s

Will continue to acquire more Andrew Will wines.
I believe this one has a decade or so, as it's not yet reached it's peak.

PS- Drink The Rainbow!

Decanted 2 hrs. To be very clear, this is a quality wine, and I enjoyed the experience overall. But compared to other Kerloo bottles, this didn't have any specicfs that jumped off the page the way past wines did. For example, the 12 malbec had a lovley violet tright, 14 Boushey Mouvedre had a killer old world meets new world feel. This wine had a muddled fruit clarity - I don't think the malbec and cab were a good marriage, at least in this bottle. Drink now.

Muted aromas of dusty earth, leather and bitter chocolate lead to a palate that is also strangely reticent. There is some chalky dark fruit that turns a little meaty on the mid- palate before some black cherry flavors emerge. Overall a flat and disappointing wine.

Consistent with the first lot of 5 bottles I've tasted in the past few months, this wine was bright ruby in color and showed black cherry, baking spices and clove on the nose. The mouth feel brought juicy acidity along with tart cranberry and wet granite. The finish was medium in length with good lift and the fruit, tannins and minerality all coming together nicely.

Purchased for $14.99US from winestillsoldout.com, this is an outstanding qpr. It easily drinks like a $30+ bottle. I liked this so much I jumped on an offer from WTSO to buy another 4 bottles. Kudos to WTSO for offering this at a great price.

Drinking in a great place. The secondary notes have begun taking over with lychee, petrichor, peach, and pear flavors. Palate is sweet but refined with good balance. Thought this was drinking in a great place.

Unbalance, thin and heavy in the heat category. Maybe this is an off bottle but I wasn't really impressed before. Cooked fruity notes, but no real depth, no decent texture and the lower acidic/ABV imbalance makes me wish i didn't by this stuff at any price. Maybe its totally shit down. I'll hold it for another year, then if still not good I'll cook with it or use it for family who gulp the wine in about 2 seconds. Yes I have some of those. Some might add Sprite or ice cubes too.

Slightly metallic nose and taste, dark fruit and leather, but something about this didn't quite work for me, including some sourness that was off-putting.

Tasted at Vino wine tasting (Hollywood,Florida). This wine had a deep purple color and a very tight nose. After 30 minutes in the glass, there was still very little fruit, and no florals. It's taste was also austere, with dark tart fruit and lots of musty earth. I really tried to like this wine, because I usually enjoy Loire Cab Franc, but I could find very little to go with. I thought that maybe it was a bad bottle, but it was poured by it's distributer, as part of a tasting, and she sampled it as well. Even after the tasting was over, I tried another pour from a bottle that was opened for more than an hour. The distributer's write-up noted tastes of damson plums. When I Googled this plum, it reported that this fruit was "astringent", so maybe this is what the wine is supposed to taste like. I read other favorable tasting notes, so I must be missing something.

Decanted 3+ hours and had with grilled steak, potatoes and veggies. I like this Cab style - medium-bodied, restrained, elegant - but it's still too young to drink. Tannins and acidity wobbled the structure all over the place. Nothing is integrated and the fruit is completely subdued. Even the nose was hard to pin down. Given the pedigree of this winery, along with a promising core, I'd say it has promise but lay it down until at least 2016.

6/20/2013 7:42:00 AM - Am not understanding why it was scored, since you admit to infanticide :-)

I like Abeja cabs with 8-10 years of age. Anything less (to me) is a waste of potential.

Nearly four hour decant to get anything on the nose. Black fruits begrudgingly emerged but so did the alcohol. Supple texture, very drinkable, long finish, uninteresting. My first shipment is not off to a great start. $45?, really. Makes Januik @ 30 look good.
