Tried two full bottles. Both not good. Lack freshness and have a bitter finish. Not only my opinion but those of several other fellow aficionados of this wine. Sadly very disappointing, particularly on the freshness front.

Nose hints at heavy alcohol but drinks surprisingly well. Especially after breathing for a couple of hours. Paired nicely with a red stew.

Colour: med deep amber, bright, clear.
Nose: full, v fresh, nutty, some woody notes,
Taste: med body, rounded, fresh, excellent fruit notes, touch of caramel , good acidity too, long finish, bone dry, dried fruits.
Overall, excellent example which must be served barely chilled to get the full complexity. What strikes me is that, being from Sanlucar, this has seemingly evolved from a Manzanilla with all the salty tang you would expect.

Clean, open, and fragrant, the medium-high intensity aromas offer attractive nutty and caramel notes layered over orange, apricot, brown sugar, and honey. The medium+ bodied palate is very dry with oxidative and nutty flavours, plus touches of lemon peel, salty, leesy, and caramel adding complexity. Acids are fresh and well-balanced, while oxidative, leesy, nutty, and salty notes linger on the exceptionally long, dry, and slightly bitter finish. Best served with a light chill. Score: 91+ pts

Tasted from a full bottle rather late for an En Rama.

Produced from 100% Palomino grapes grown on white albariza soils at Hidalgo’s highest quality vineyards of El Cuadrado at Balbaina Alta. This Spring 2023 release is available in limited quantities (only 35 barrels with a capacity of 1,000 litres of the solera are used). Tasting note: Intense, complex and balanced on the nose, this En Rama has a wonderful salty character influenced by the close proximity of the cellars in Sanlúcar de Barrameda to the sea (only 500m away) as well as the altitude of the Balbaina vineyard (100m). Matured using the traditional “Criaderas y Solera” process in American oak casks, under a layer of “flor” integrated by the yeasts, the wine is intensely gold with green tints. At 15% alcohol, it is perfect served as an aperitif with salted nuts, olives and jamon or with fish, seafood, asparagus or artichokes. One sip and you’ll feel like you’ve been transported to the Cathedral Style Bodega. Winemaker's notes!
Colour: light gold, sl copper tinge, bright, clear.
Nose: full, very fresh, salty, almonds, direct rather than rounded.
Taste: light body, again direct, frank, saline, v dry, almost austere yet good, fresh fruit. Long finish, v dry, yeasty, malted notes too that linger.
Overall, most enjoyable and complex. More full bodied than the Deliciosa Manzanilla of Valdespino of similar bottling (L230892)/

Clear and clean; amber thinning to the edges. Nose of maple syrup, orange, cleaning fluids, almonds and tangerine. On the palate there is great spicy acidity driving forward rich smokey and caramel spice cake flavors. Both round and linear. Delicious.

On the nose: hay, grass, stones, yeast, and lemon, fresh. On the palate: very savory and yeasty with a chalky texture. There is high acidity, an obvious lemonade taste, a light saline finish, very good.

color was light straw and slightly cloudy (straight from the barrel). Nose: struck match, roasted nuts like peanuts and peas, white flowers, almonds. Palate: spicy acidity, smooth, lemony, nutty, and a long yeasty finish. Very good.

This is nice. Rich, classic amontillado nose: brazil nut, red peanut skin, preserved lemon, dates. This is a solid amontillado--rather than a great one--but it's also at a very affordable price point. I could have used a touch more acid, but I really like the peanut skin note.

I believe this was bottled in 2017 and is a very old Manzanilla, almost getting on for an amontillado
Deep gold colour
Bruised apple on the nose, toffee, saline notes and vanilla,
Very full body, rich and creamy, low acidity, very salty with lemon peel, cobnuts and toffee.
Rich style of manzanilla, certainly not a cheery sunshine aperitif sort of wine, really needs cheese, cured ham etc. Shows that manzanilla can age in the bottle though I wouldn't keep it for much longer.

Had this open for three days now and actually it's getting better with air contact. It's turning into an amontillado. Fascinating.

My first Manzanilla sherry. Nutty and bruised apple aromas. Bone dry, and bitter on the palate with a salty tang. Medium bodied, low acidity with long finish. A Marmite wine that has hints of actual Marmite! Personally, not for me.
