3/5/2024 - jmoore431 Likes this wine: 92 pointsJust a little over 5 years since I cracked one of these; this is still pretty clenched and crunchy. Made from purchased grapes, this is very traditionally styled with loads of fruit buried beneath slowly resolving tannins. I have a few of these left but wouldn’t touch another for at least five years. |

12/15/2023 - Tastevinage Likes this wine: 93 pointsAnnual Xmas Dinner (Monday Wine Group) @ Lucia's - Chicago. Decanted three hours prior. Showing surprisingly well, but still a bit tight with incredibly concentrated gorgeous fruit and earthy terroir. Great balance of fruit, acid and tannin not completely merged into what this will eventually be. Very fine now (93) should develop into 95-96 with a few years time. God, I love the 2005's. |

1/7/2022 - melvinyeowq Likes this wine: NRBurgundy lunch at San Shu Gong: Similarly bricking in colour to the Bertheau 08. The wine was a little rustic but still elegant that made me think of CdN incorrectly. Was thinking MSD with the blue fruits or Gevrey with meatiness, but someone managed to guess Pommard impressively. This producer gets a bad rep for oak use but it was well-integrated here. |

10/7/2021 - Jeremy Holmes wrote: NRComplex aromatics of pine needles, aniseed, black earth, camphor and dark fruits. The palate is at that mid-development point, still quite fresh, with a few savoury notes sneaking in. It is relatively firm through the mid-palate and has a touch of extractive bitterness to the finish. Not bad but not great Echezeaux. |

7/30/2021 - Z1nnfull Likes this wine: 88 pointsDrinking very nicely now after giving it some air. No one will mistake this for a top of the line, but still it is a 100% varietally correct French Burgundy. Floral on the nose did not translate entirely to the taste, but still quite enjoyable. Second night it had a little prune ish taste to it that disappeared after I gave it some more air. Very nice for the price, but I'd drink by EOY 2021. A tad bit more robust than middle of the road, but certainly not an alcohol or fruit bomb. Recommend. |

6/27/2021 - schan109 Likes this wine: 91 pointsBottle breathe for 45 min. Nice nose with some red fruit and flower at opening, but disappeared quickly. The nose is quite shy with a bit of fruit, the palate is a bit thin, with tea and branches dominating. Medium finishing. The wine did not evolve much in the next 2 hours, but it's drinkable |

5/4/2021 - _water.into.wine_ Likes this wine: 91 pointsGreat wine. Still feeling far too young as so much oak and savoury notes. My wife felt quite Tart and bitter in some aspects. Got better with air, so you need to decant this a few hours or let it age in the cellar. Looking forward to trying again. I think this could be great in 3-5 years |
