7/23/2023 - RichEB1 Likes this wine: 90 pointsLast bottle and I'm not sure if I liked it more now or a few years ago (and this is coming from someone who typically perfers a little age on their zins). Restrained Pagani fruit but maybe lacking a bit of the 'energy' from my last bottle in 2019. I still enjoyed this and it was an incredible QPR.....but I'd say drink up sooner than later. |

4/21/2023 - cobbpa Likes this wine: 90 pointsThis works for satisfying what I prefer out of new world Pinot. Similar to my last note, the fruit is ripe & dark without feeling confected. Med+ body has some earthy tones (tea, underbrush) beneath it to work with the acidity and add complexity. |

4/16/2023 - cobbpa wrote: 91 pointsIn great shape. Bit of green peppercorn & singed herbs on the nose, sitting above dark blue & black berry fruits. Touch of vanilla bean is there as well. Med+ weight on the palate with a nice anise note & bit of creamy midpalate. Med tannins & acid hold up with good length. Enjoyed with a mix of kalbi ribs & steak. |

7/14/2022 - cobbpa Likes this wine: NRLeads with cool dark cherry & a touch of berry fruit. With air a bit of black tea shows up. The fruit is ripe without feeling sweet. That tea note comes through to balance & nicely add a bit of complexity. Easy finish with robust flavors. |

4/7/2022 - prasm Likes this wine: 90 pointsPnP, consumed over 2 hours. Appearance: Clear, medium ruby with no bricking. Nose: Clean, medium intensity with developing aromas of black cherry, blood orange, baking spice, and tomato leaf with hints of new shoe leather. Palate: Dry, medium acid, medium- tannin, 14.2% abv, medium body, medium+ intensity with flavors of tart black cherry, blood orange, and herbs with a medium+ finish. A very good wine overall with excellent complexity, intensity, and length. Can drink now or over next 2-4 years. |

3/26/2022 - prasm Likes this wine: 90 pointsPnP, consumed over 4 hours. Appearance: Clear, dark ruby with just the slightest edge bricking. Nose: Clean, medium+ intensity, blackberry, black cherry, black olive, leather, dark earth, and black pepper. Palate: Dry, medium acid and tannin, 14.4% abv - would have guessed 14.7% - 15.0%, medium intensity, medium+ body with flavors of black olive, ripe blackberry, black pepper, leather, and tobacco with a medium+ finish. Overall a very good wine excelling in complexity and length, seems to be at peak or just past (bottle was purchased upon release and stored in my passive basement cellar) - drink now or over next 2 years. |

Substantial mouth of milk chocolate, ruby red grapefruit, blueberries and eucalyptus bark. Long finish of licorice, Maltesers and plum skins. I think I can even detect some toasted oak halfway through the finish. |

12/31/2021 - kanab ram Likes this wine: NRArrived the other day from a recent winery offering of the 2008 vintage Jemrose and Judge Syrahs. PnP'd. Seamless and balanced with plush dark mouthwatering fruits and a lengthy chalky finish. This is in a great place and should easily age another 5 years before declining. |

12/11/2021 - cobbpa wrote: NRNice. Dried dark blueberries & a little black cherry to it, with some florals beneath that on the nose & some stemmy black spice showing here & there. Touch warm in the midpalate, but otherwise decent backend balance. I'll probably drink my one remaining bottle in the next year-ish |
