Agree with all the other reviewers. Body is way more viscous and rich than other manzanillas that I’ve had. Finish goes on forever. Nose is all flor; dried nuts and sea salt. On the palate, add in a touch of acidity to the palate and some roasted nuts to the finish. Those nice qualities also make me wonder what the heck to pair this with. It is definitely a manzanilla worth contemplation (almost an oxymoron). I’m thinking this needs an oily flavorful shellfish dish? Maybe steamed Alaskan crab legs with butter? Or maybe up the seasoning with a bit of slightly acidic (eg vindaloo) qualities? But as I tasted it again, maybe thin slices of jamon Iberico would be perfect? Whatever works for you, please let me know!

A very reductive style despite one year i barrel under flor. Integrated black fermented garlic in the nose and palate along side a savoury fruit profile, almonds and green olive.

Offers a 'lighter' style of fino sherry.

Very complex and intense considering the price. You will have to be tolerant to or fond of reductive wines, to enjoy this bottle.

Opulent, toffee and marmalade, with a deep, almost very-aged-Sauternes-like quality to the elements on the nose. Rancio and just a very low amount of curry leaf. Almost sweet from the intensity, but not overbearing or overly concentrated; a slight hint of bitterness on the back end provides balance. Far, far better with a savoury snack like roasted nuts, but an outstanding beverage no matter what.

my experience is adequately worded already by grafstrb and lake.vino.
'day 3 or 4. Lot #: 210842, brown sugar; light varnish; toasted nuts, medium-light bodied, high acidity; tawny salinic nuttiness. ...trucking-along quite nicely. ... worth every penny.'

This particular bottle had a few years of age in local stocks. That fact is relevant considering its slow, emergent expression after opening. By contrast, when this lot first landed in Michigan back in 2020 (iirc) it dazzled onlookers on its first pour. Now it has retreated into viscera, to a degree that is evidently healthy and promising. Great pleasure, *plus time.* It's so good after a few days open, and from its honored place in the door of the fridge.

Bought at local store with a mix of vintages. Piercing, delicious, super food wine that can also be drunk by itself. Middle and end palate quite rich for a manzanilla and a contrast to the attack (Very en rama nonetheless). An easy choice for many meals and social occasions. We should all have a couple of bottles in the refrigerator for spontaneous get-togethers or meals with friends.

More powerful and complex than the solera Manzanilla en rama, and more structured and austere, in a good way. There is a wonderful core of charm in there but it can take food to coax it out. A wine for contemplation rather than guzzling (as we often do with the soleras!).

Sadly this wine, based on the Inocente Fino, is as bad as the latter. I am a great fan of the Deliciosa, but both the others suffer from too much oak and are not clean.

I've continued to taste this over the days --- it's probably been open 3 weeks, or so, at this point, and it's still trucking-along quite nicely. It's an excellent Palo Cortado, and I'd say my gut impression score is probably around 94. This is a VOS P.C.; fruit entirely from the Macharnudo Alto Vinearyd. $50 for a 500mL bottle, and worth every penny.

unmistakeable palomino nose. Bruised yellow apples, nuts, smoke, white flowers and chalky minerality, Med + body and acidity, alc 12%, quite long salty and tangy finish with fruit echoing the nose. Fun.

Deep Brown colour. Nose is very sweet and the sugar overwhelms other notes of dates, figs and raisins. Taste is also sweet, but more balanced as other aspects come out more; tobacco notes, caramel, cinnamon, clove, heat. Very sweet, medium high acid, long. VG PX Sherry, although not anything special.

What an amazing wine.
Pours like treacle. Toffee brown with a hint of green.
The nose is extremely intense with roasted nuts, dried fig and dates.
Palate is sweet but not cloying due to the concentrated acid.
Not sure you could ask for much more.

At GramC with Chocolate Cream Pie ….
Subtle on delivery and balanced. Raisenettes.
Lighter syrup and brown sugar/molasses but not cloying at 17.5 ALC., but shows on nose.

Hazelnuts and caramel on the nose and on the palate but dry and quite crisp with it.

Layers and depth. Long finish. Easy to drink. Enjoyable.

WSET2 Course Notes; 10/22/2023-11/5/2023 (WineHouse, Los Angeles): Colour: Medium yellow.
Nose: Yeastiness: sourdough, dried flowers and green almond. Lemon and just a little bit of yellow apple. Olive brine.
Palate: Brininess, salinity, lemons, some dough.
8+/18. My first Manzanilla and it's really cool! I really want seafood with this.

This is as bad as the Deliciosa is good!
The palate is dominated by dry old cask flavours, astringent.
Sorry, I am not buying this again. Stick to the Deliciosa!

Retasted half bottle of L230892 against a bottle of L221172.
The latter is much fuller and riper on the nose and broader on the palate. Both good in their different ways but the L23 wins out on freshness, structure and finish. It gets 91 to the L22’s 89 mainly because of the traditional saline flavour against the more Fino notes of the L22.
