9/16/2011 - zscheiner Likes this wine: 88 pointsBetter at home, more expressive nose and I don't get the bitter finish. Nice floral aspects. My palate must have been in a weird place to start the VVW tasting. |

3/29/2014 - zscheiner Likes this wine: NRBedrock Pickup Day (Sonoma, CA): I found this similar to the '12 in its refreshing deliciousness. A bit more ripe peach than you find in most Spanish Albarinos but still a nice spine of acidity that keeps it crisp and you wanting another sip. This taste suggested that six bottles will likely not be enough to last the summer. |

9/10/2011 - zscheiner wrote: 87 pointsReticent nose, lemon peel, some minerals. Light bodied with medium acidity, lemon, minerals and white flowers. Lemon pith finish is a bit bitter, which I don't enjoy. Ashley found more fruit and liked this much more than I did. |

5/18/2011 - zscheiner Likes this wine: 89 pointsBright citrus fruits, white stone and tons of acidity. Acidity was higher than I remember from pickup day, almost out of balance. Still very tasty, will be fantastic as an apertif on a warm summer day. |

4/4/2014 - zscheiner Likes this wine: NRCouldn't wait long to unscrew one of these. The acids were more prominent in this bottle than the taste I had on pick-up day but that's fine by me! Pretty, floral nose, nice palate weight and a healthy dose of acidity that leaves your mouth clean and craving another sip. Another great Abrente. |

2/18/2011 - zscheiner Likes this wine: 88 points2008 Mongeard-Mugneret Red Burgundies (Vin Vino Wine, Palo Alto, CA): Explosive and lovely nose of ripe peaches. Surprisingly dry on the palate (after the nose) with unripe Asian pear, lemon and a bit of lemon pith on the finish. Great acidity, somewhat one-dimensional palate, but tasty and refreshing. |

8/7/2014 - zscheiner Likes this wine: NRA bit leaner and more acidic than previous vintages but still plenty of peach and honeydew melon fruit. Great summertime sipping and a must buy every vintage. |

5/3/2013 - zscheiner Likes this wine: 90 pointsSmells of peaches and flowers. Light to medium bodied with high acidity. In the mouth this tingles with lime but also shows some ripe white peach and chalky minerality. My favorite of the last three vintages. |

7/15/2013 - zscheiner Likes this wine: 88 pointsBlind Tasting 2010 Sancerres and Pouilly Fumes (Rich & Peggy's House, Los Altos, CA): Ripe lemon and beeswax nose. Light to medium body with low to medium acidity. Ripe lemon, fresh cut flowers, just a touch green. Not very albarino-y, I guessed Loire Chenin Blanc. |

5/19/2012 - zscheiner Likes this wine: 89 pointsI was served this blind and guessed chard, sauv blanc and chenin blanc before I was put out of my misery. Ripe lemon and mandarin orange nose. Medium bodied with medium+ acidity. Lemony, minerally palate with a tinge of green herb. Great summer quaffer. |

4/24/2012 - zscheiner Likes this wine: 88 pointsBig nose of ripe lemon, white peach and cantaloupe. Light to medium bodied with medium+ acidity. Palate is much less ripe than the nose suggests. Lemon, seaspray and minerals. Bit of basil that persists through the finish. |

7/16/2013 - zscheiner Likes this wine: 90 pointsInteresting nose, ripe yellow fruit, flowers and a rocky, slightly savory note... reminds me a bit of Vouvray. Medium to full bodied with high acidity. This is weighty in the mouth with great texture. Tart yellow fruit with a chalky, mineral backbone. Surprisingly good! |

8/7/2022 - zscheiner Likes this wine: NRReally enjoyed this after an hour decant, with a nice chill, and alongside thick, brined, grilled bone-in pork chops. I didn’t find it as acidic as other tasters and enjoyed the bright red fruit with a bottom note of earth and sauvage. |

Funky, mature, forest floor nose. Medium to full bodied with light to medium acidity. Brambly fruit, raspberry and blackberry. Medium+ tannins, probably due to the sediment. |
