Opened second bottle not corked but tasted like a cheap £7 bottle of wine
totaly shut down no bouquet.
acidic with a reasonable amount of fruit but you would not recognise this as PN. Great dissappointment for xmas day as these wines are £40/bottle
Kept in absolute perfect conditions since 2007 with no evidence of cork failure. This is the risk of buying burgundy!! Ouch!!

1/3/2013 7:12:00 AM - Sounds closed. Perhaps this will be much better off in another 5/10 years. This will be a superb wine, in time. I don't think this highlights the risk of 'buying' burgundy, rarther the risk of 'opening' burgundy at the wrong time.

New Year's wine and 1st of a half case. Wanted to see where the '05s are at. Aromas of blackberries, sage, oak with hints of mature cedar. Palate was refined and medium bodied, with classic black and red fruits. Did not have the depth of fruit I expected from the vintage. Very dry finish.

Wine Company Grower Champagne Tasting; 1/25/2014-1/26/2014 (St. Paul, MN): Citrus, chalk, raspberries and yeast. Not impressive and not as good as the N.V. Blanc de Blancs. After seeing the price of this offering I am blown away at the lack of complexity for the price.

1/26/2014 6:06:00 AM - The 2005 of this wine is not a great example. In better vintages (2002/4) this wine offers superb value

The Champagnes of Jacques Selosse (Roberson Wine, South Ken, London): Disgorged 13Apr2011. 100% Chardonnay, <5 g/l dosage. 2003 dominant vintage in what will eventually become a solera champagne.
A truly amazing champagne. Light spice, rich nose. Would struggle to pick it as a champagne from the nose. Rich on the palate, ripe, spicy, lots of presence and round. Well balanced, elegant, vibrant. We can go on for ever here but this is truly mesmerising. 96-97 WOTN by a huge mile.
