Absolutely fabulous. Beautiful Violet color. Explosive dark cherry and strawberry and red cherry bouquet and flavors. At least this bottle is very accessible now indicating is enjoyable for short to midterm drinking. Will retain soon but it is fabulous QPR and a must have. Certainly good for up to 5 years passive Advantage but probably even 10.

Dark color. Tanninc and concentrated. More tight and tannic than the last tasting. Still showing well and enjoyable now, but based on this tasting, it has further development in the bottle. More open than the Jean Marc Brun tasted side by side with it (but equal quality)

92-93+ slightly dark Ruby color. Gorgeous bouquet of smoke, burnt rubber, Earth with similar flavors along with flavors of tomato, dark cherries, dark earthy fruits. Very good concentration and complexity. A Step Above his Hautes-Côtes de Beaune VV tasted next to it. While this wine drink well upon opening it opened up a lot more after several hours of breathing. Enjoyable now it will certainly benefit from aging. Likely at Peak from 2028 to 2036. Excellent qpr. Cellar selection.

91-2+ good showing with dense concentration and fruit. Somewhat open more so than I thought it would be but still has tannins and acidity that need to shed for it to show its best. Excellent qpr. Very nice to taste next to their hcdb as they both showcase the difference between the two regions. Both are enjoyable and both are well worth owning. The hcdb had more complexity while the hcdn had more muscle but still have plenty of complexity

93-94+. Along with the Le Hardi one of the best young kosher Gevrey Chambertin that I have tasted. This one is more structured and reserved. This, tasted next to the 21 Marchand Nuits St. Georges was better than the NSG (but the NSG was not far behind). Dark ruby color. On the bouquet, dark cherry, spice, earth, and fresh squeezed grape. On the palate, dense, concentrated, complex, very structured. Good tannins and acidity for ageing. Concentrated flavors of dark fruits, dark cherries, lots of spice, minerals, smoke, grape jam, fresh squeezed grapes. Long spice, fruity, tannic acidic finish. Best from 2026-2036, possibly longer. A big concentrated wine (biggest of his 2021 lineup). Impressive and dellicious.

92-93. Light ruby color. Explosive bouquet of strawberries, raspberries, tomatoes. Light to medium bodied, but bursting with delicious ripe fresh fruity flavor. Beautiful flavors of raspberry, strawberry, cherry, spice, mineral, flint, hint of fruity earth. Long finish with some tannins and acidity to give it some short to medium term ability to age. Juicy, fruity and drinking beautiful now. Certainly enjoyable now to 2026. Hopefully could last until 2031, but for now I would be conservative and either drink on the young side or closely follow. Delicious

92-93. Nice bright ruby color. Intense bouquet of cherries, strawberries, raspberries, spice, fresh earth. Medium bodied, concentrated, well balanced. Concentrated flavors of cherry, spice, peppers, tomatoes, fresh earth. Lots of acid and tannins (more than the Aloxe-Corton). While very enjoyable and approachable, it is not wide open like the Aloxe-Corton, but has some restraint and the tannins and acid are definitely hiding some good stuff. Best from 2025-2031, possibly 2036. Has fruit, structure, acid and tannins to age. Delicious now, should get even better with age. Both this and the Aloxe are similar and different at the same time. BOTH are worth owning. Good QPR

Nice light to medium Ruby color. Beautiful bouquet of strawberries, red cherries and raspberries. Light to medium Bodied with a lot of acidity but some really good fruit that still shows through indicating that one can drink with pleasure now but when they said he falls there will be even more revealed and to enjoy. Concentrated flavors of red cherries and earth. Nice complexity. Long finish. Likely best from 2026 to 2031, possibly to 2036. Excellent QPR. will reward cellaring

92-93+. When I tasted it, it was not chilled at all when 1st opened. With just slight chill the flavors were muted. Drink barely chilled if at all. Light gold color. Nice bouquet of citrus, slate, spice, mineral, wet stone with hints of melon. Medium bodied, concentrated, complex. Very concentrated and complex flavors of citrus, mineral, salt, stone, slate with loads of acidity and a long concentrated acidic mineral finish. Enjoyable now, my guess is that it will open up and get better with age. The acidity is covering some of the flavors.
Drink now to 2031, possibly longer.

Light gold color. Served at almost room temperature. Mineral melon pear bouquet and flavors. Modest concentration and complexity. This is not showing as well as the last tasting. Good minerality, saltiness, and acidity. Maybe a off bottle, maybe in a dumb phase, maybe needs ageing. Seems to have good structure. But based on this tasting a disappointment when looking at QPR. Time will tell. Hope to retry in about 3-6 months

90-91+. Ruby color. Nice bouquet of cherries, strawberries, spice, mineral and a hint of earth and smoke. Light to medium bodied with fresh vibrant fruit. Flavors of cherry, strawberry, tomato, spice, mineral with some earth. Good acidity with some soft tannins. Long finish with fruit and acidity. Drinking well now, will likely improve over the next year or two. Drink now to 2031. Maybe sooner. Very enjoyable, I think for the same $, the Gevrey Chambertin and Nuits St. Georges are far superior. As for QPR the Haut Cotes de Beaune and Aloxe Corton are better bang for your buck (stylistically its closest to Aloxe Corton - fruit forward over tannins and structure - not that these 2 don't have tannins and structure, but the fruit is the main feature). It is still different than the others so if you got the money and the space in your cellar, it may be worth having

92-93+. Deep ruby color. Concentrated bouquet of tangy berries with hints of smoke and spice. Medium bodied, excellent density, concentrated with ripe fruit flavors of dark fruits, tangy berries, smoke, cherry, spice, earth, minerals. Long finish with fruit, loads of tannins and acidity. Great balance, excellent structure. Can drink now, but needs a few years to open up. Likely best from 2026-2031, probably to 2036. Good complexity. Tasted next to his Gevrey Chambertin (which was better), this still held its own and was very close in quality (both worth owning)

5/16/2021 - Adam Pritzker Does not like this wine: flawed

Second time a week apart. At first, had a whiff and slight taste of burgundy. Then sweet and sour notes took over. All sorts of odd and off flavors. Absolutely terrible. Overheating can do this but I dont see any evidence of this (corks are good, no seepage, no bulging of corks). Could be really bad luck with 2 bad bottles in a row

REDEEMED. After having a few bad bottles (which seems to have been a shipping issue), this is representative of this winemaker's quality. It may have shown even better if I had waited (tasted it the day after it arrived). Dense concentrated with ripe tangy berries. Great fruit and good acid. Drinkable now (with a couple of hours of breathing), this should age well. Best from 2024-2029, probably to 2034. Will retry soon. The least expensive of his 2019 reds and a great introduction to them. It will not disappoint

WOW!!!! The 2017 of this which I like is the classic acidic tart restrained Burgundy> This is completely different. Beautiful ruby color. One whiff of the concentrated exotic fruit filled deep bouquet lets one know they are in for a real treat. The bouquet is concentrated with plush dark berry, red cherry, dark cherry notes. On the palate, very concentrated plush velvety fruit flavors of blue fruits, dark cherry, red cherry, blueberry, tart cherry flavors. The fruit is just so beautiful and delicious. It drinks so well now, but it has the fruit, acids, and tannins to age and develop (sadly most consumers will likely gobble this up in its youth and miss out on the depth and complexity that a Burgundy like this will gain with age.) Despite is high price tag, it is worth it. This delivers the goods. A must have and cellar selection. Drink now to enjoy its youthful fruitiness but then best from 2029-2039.

93-94+. Of the 3 2017 kosher reds from this producer, this was my favorite to drink now. Of the 2019s, I think I may favor the Volnay for current drinking over this, but I'd really have to have them side by side or closer together to truly make that call. Still, this is delicious, but still has a lot hiding to share in the future.
Nice dark ruby color. Mineral spice slightly smoky dark berry bouquet. Medium bodied with good concentration. Loaded with fruit, but lots of tannins and acidity. Long fruity tannic acidic finish (lots of acid on the finish). Very youthful and tight, but still with good dense fruit flavors - Red cherries, dark cherries, strawberry, fresh earth. Delicious. Can try now, but there's so much hiding behind the tannins and acid that its a crime to drink this young. Best from 2027-2035, possibly longer. Cellar selection. Highly recommended

2 1/2 hour decant (mag decanter). Nose: Complex aromas of Burg funk, topsoil, Stargazer lily, and iron. Classic NSG! Palate: Somewhat light but with soft tannins, good acid levels and precise red fruits. The pungeant Stargazer lily is evident with cherries and a fairly long, yet elegant finish. This was quite impressive and for only $40/btl on sale I will be reloading as this makes a great cellar defender while you wait for more backward Burgs to reveal themselves.
