This is light on oak and high on enjoyability. This is a well balanced wine that drinks more like a Chablis then a Napa cab. Already in its prime and will drink well for another 1-3 years.

1st of 4. The first sip upon popping the cork was by far the best. I got a sense of what this will be before it shutdown. I then decanted for 1 hour which was not enough. This would benefit from as long of a decant as you can at this point. Anyways, the potential is superb. A ton of well judged fruit leads into a well balanced wine with a muted finish at this point. The dry extract dissipated throughout the evening. Probably 6-8 years out from its prime and then it should drink well for another 5-10 years. Revisit 2028

This needs about an hour in the glass to open up. I would have guessed sauv blanc. This is extremely light and well balanced with a nice finish. This is a wine meant to be drank poolside or with sushi. Supply and demand dictates a high price but arguably this might be justified. Such a unique wine. This is already in its prime but will easily drink well for 5 more years.

I believe I’m the first to taste this. I hosted Jan Zakin at my imperial palace. These wines keep getting better. This was accessible after an hour in the decanter. This is reminiscent of the 18 and 14. This should reach prime in the next 3-5 years and last for 15. Great balance and finish. The 2nd label 2019 is the best second label yet. Cheers to the team at Zakin.

Popped cork 3 hours before- nice wine that is showing well already. Still 1-2 years from prime and should hold well for 5 years. A pleasant wine.

Needs a minimum of a 3 hour decant. Bright fruit with nice stuffing that leads into an average finish. Overall nice balance but lacking in complexity at this point. This will drink well for more than another decade. Should reach prime in about 5 years. Revisit 2026

Purchased this, the best cab at a wine shop on Eleuthera. Popped the cork 2 hours before and let sit in the glass for 30 min before. This is a bit thin but has decent balance. I don’t have much experience at this price point (thankfully) but priced appropriately and paired well with ribeye. I think these are ready to drink and will also drink well for another 5 years.

Needs at least an hour in the glass then bingo bango. What a complete wine with a finish that goes on and on. It’s a big wine that is still years away from its prime. Worth the hype. Revisit 2023.

Opened at Le Bernadine- this required every bit of 2 hours to open up. Really outstanding with great length and balance but years away from ideal drinking. I would suggest decanting this now for an hour or waiting 5 years. Will last for decades.

9 months since my last bottle. 30 min decant. Unfortunately this was a slightly off bottle but was still acceptable. Missing the depth and concentration that this wine generally gives you. O well
Checked in on this at hour 4 in the decanter and it significantly improved. Probably not a perfect bottle but much better. Best to give these a ton of air.

Purchased at the winery in October 2019 without tasting- one hour decant- unfortunately this is unpleasant. Up front bitter thin heat with a disjointed finish. I purchased 3 bottles of this and will give the other two away. On a positive note, Cosentino’s 2013 Mt Veeder cab is unreal and the best valued wine I bought on that trip.

10 hour decant which was absolutely necessary- this is a big, bold and well balanced wine with a nice grippy finish that lasts for 45 seconds. Great upside potential and should reach its prime in 10 years. This would benefit from an overnight decant at this point. I’d recommend 20-24 hours of decanting at this point. Very well made and enjoyable wine.

Needs 20 min in the glass and this beauty is ready to shine and compete against spicy pork chops. Despite the high alcohol, there’s no heat detected and the balance is pure with a nice finish. Overall a very nice wine that is in its prime and will hold for another 4-5 years. Good value, that will please just about anyone.
