Consistent with previous notes, Joy's wines never disappoint. Wonderful pairing with grill seared tuna, duck liver pâté, whiskey cheddar, & manchego cheese.

As usual, Joy's wines are sublime. Had at the tail end of a lobster dinner which started with an IH Chard. Wonderfully balanced, with just the right amount of fruit and floral notes.

Pop-n-pour during a picnic lunch horseback ride, still slightly chilled. Light berries & floral notes on the nose, medium dry with good fruit flavors on the palate. Only got better hours later after finishing up the bottle back at the cottage. Amazing how well it held up over that time.

After 1 hour decant, poured into glasses:
Color: BLACK, with a bit of a maroon edge. Yes, this is a wonderful color for PS.
Nose: Barnyard (this is a good thing) and peppery spice. It was VERY VERY tight though.
Palate: Massive tannic bite. At first we couldn't really get much of anything. Mostly barnyard and a little herbal notes. This wine definitely needs several more years, or many hours of decanting.

We poured our glasses back into the decanter and then through the Vinturi back into the glasses. After doing so, that helped immensely. Finally getting some of the usual PS blueberry notes, though they're still faint. Next glass got poured through the Vinturi into our glasses (this now after 90 mins or so of decanting). Still strong barnyard nose. Getting some vanilla oakiness, more of the blueberry fruit showing it's face, and a bit of anise on the back end. Also a bit of sweet raspberry.
All in all, a good wine and typical of the petite sirah grape. And as is usual with PS...have it with food. It went great with our steaks.

Dry with a good amount of fruitiness that lent itself to be sweet that made it pair well with anything that we threw at it, which included mussles, dungenous crab, chicken, and even beef. Mostly apricot on the palate with hints of honey. Very nice wine and excellent alternative to your normal chardonnay and PN sparklings.

Aromas of pear, mineral, and some floral notes. Wonderful crisp and solid acidity. Crisp pear/peach, some light lemon floral notes. A bit of spritz when first opened, but it went away rather fast. No typical buttery Chard notes, but more similar to a Riesling. Very tasty with a Mahi Mahi dinner.

This is delightful. Honey and granny smith apple on the nose. Nicely balanced, good acidity, flavor profile of honey, brown sugar, melon fruits. Very nice and easy to drink.
