This Barolo is a pretty garnet-red color—dark but still transparent, with a slight brownish tinge. A bit oxidized and volatile on the nose, it displays an alluring aroma of mature black cherry with hints of dried berries and violets and noticeable alcohol. The restrained palate has sensations of new leather and varnish.
