Nothing special about itand a lot of acidity. Bit disappointed, and only drank half a bottle. The evening after it, it was totally different. Lots of fruit, and drinking very easy. Pale lemon peel in color. Lemon, lychee, oyster shell salinity off the nose. Interesting taste profile. Very subtle. Similar to nose. Felt very thin to me, thus my points. Hint of evergreen needles. On the nose, this is all smoke and leather with blueberry and fig. Later in the evening, some tomato leaf emerges. On the palate, the immediate impression is one of richness and unctuousness. The wine presents smoke and leather, underpinned by blueberry, blue fruits, and fig, with plenty of acid for balance and freshness. We enjoyed this wine with a ribeye, but it needs a bolognese/something with a bit more acid to balance. A great wine and not tired at all at 28 years old. Do you find this review helpful? Rich floral nose - tropical fruits, melon. Dry, medium acidity, medium alcohol @13% abv and medium (+/ body Palate of lemon, tropical fruits, honey melon, mineral notes, almonds, white pepper. Rich mouthfeel, creamy with scintillating long, long finish (minutes). Excellent dinner wine, a feast to enjoy on its own. Great rendition of this once forgotten low-yielding Piemontese variety.
