Palate: Fresh and gently ripe green apples, nice drying hay and dried earth. Clean fruits on the palate here, along with a distinct, dried, spiced herbal note which adds nice complexity. Always a bit special, rich and very giving a very much in the “English Typer of Taste” as the French would say which is richer and with decent use of oak in its elevate. Disgorged in 2013. The was simply magnificent. There was a saline seaspray note along with heady orchard fruits and a suggestion of marmalade. It has plenty of spice and brioche. It was full and textural, with wonderful shape and volume. It had such great acid drive and a finish that was chalky and so long. There’s still a light prickle from remaining bubbles. Likes this wine: 94 points Interesting Champagne, a couple of years ago we had a comparison of the white label Pol Roger and this one. All agreed that the more basic white label (a.k.a. Reserve) is outscoring the Vintage. This time to my surprise, the Vintage beats the Reserve by a bit. The roundness of the Reserve was a bit boring - but don’t get me wrong, both are super-sexy. N. Elegant, Brioche, Almond but also herbs and mineralic notes (wet stone in the sun), nice complexity underneath T. Boom! Really cool acidity (5 days open) and great complexity, still a curvy beauty with also some butter hints and oak, all very well built in! 3 people found this helpful, do you? Yes - No / Comment

Il naso passa dalle note fruttate a quelle fungine , che si rivelano eleganti e preponderanti. Effervescenza elegante e ben chiara, notevole lunghezza, la solita proverbiale eleganza. Easy drinking - not the most complex but fine and elegant. Sadly unable to tell base vintage, but website says it is an equal blend of the classic champagne grape varieties, aged at least 3 years on lees, and then at least 3 months in bottle before release - up to 4 years in total. Först till en fransk bondost vilken gav en fin balans. Därefter till en Soupe de petits pois som även den passade bra. Syran är nu silkeslen och de nötiga brödiga tonerna som jag gillar har verkligen kommit fram. Har en flaska till av årgången, den kommer sannolikt att hålla ytterligare flera år.
